The processor (i) generates a graph image to be displayed on the display device, (ii) when the generated graph image is displayed on the display device, acquires an object specified by a user, the object being contained in the graph image, and (iii) when the user performs a touch operation on the displayed graph image, changes a display style of the graph image according to a type of the acquired object and displays the graph image in the changed display style.

The mathematical expression input unit recognizes a mathematical expression. The mathematical expression display control unit displays the recognized mathematical expression on a display unit. The cursor display control unit moves and displays a cursor in the displayed mathematical expression. The inverse number function input unit recognizes an inverse number function. The inverse number target detection unit detects a chunk region of the mathematical expression as a target of the inverse number function. The inverse number display control unit replaces the detected chunk region with a fraction having the detected chunk region as a denominator and 1 as a numerator to display.

The calculator includes: a display unit having a touch panel; a recognition unit configured to: (i) recognize a numerical expression which is handwritten on the touch panel; (ii) convert the handwritten numerical expression in a text format; and (iii) display the text-converted numerical expression on the display unit; and an erasing unit configured to: if a part of the text-converted numerical expression is erroneously recognized and the erroneously-recognized part is specified, (i) erase the erroneously-recognized part and a part of the handwritten numerical expression corresponding to the erroneously recognized part. If information is handwritten again in the erased part of the handwritten numerical expression, the recognition unit recognizes the handwritten information again, and then the erroneously-recognized part of the text-converted numerical expression is corrected.

Abstract: When a touch operation on a touch-panel display module of an electronic device has been detected, a display entity corresponding to the touched object is created. The display entity is superimposed on the touched position on a display screen. A projector, an external display device, projects the display entity onto a screen. Even when the display screen of the electronic device has been moved by a touch operation, the audience looking at a screen page displayed on the screen can see the touch position in the form of the display entity, making it possible to understand the meaning of the operator's touch operation.
