  • Publication number: 20130011717
Abstract: In welding between a tab bundle and lead, the outer edge of a lead on the electrode side cannot be connected to the tab bundle, even though the tab bundle extended from the electrode stacked body and a part of an end portion of the lead are connected. This leads to the outer edge bended up, damaging the tab and causing contact failure between the electrode plate and the electrode terminal. With the battery of the present invention, such contact failure can be prevented. It includes an electrode stacked body (10) and a lead (17) having the first end which is connected to a tab bundle (15), wherein a first end of the lead (17) is connected to the tab bundle (15) by ultrasonic welding so as to include at least an outer edge (17a) of the lead (17).
