Abstract: A system comprising a processor, a local storage storing a user profile, a content selector program executable by the processor, and a selection condition sender program executable by the processor. The content selector program is a predetermined file playable by a specific plug-in on a web browser and selects one of contents in accordance with a selection condition to display the selected content within a window of the web browser. The selection condition sender program is cooperable with the content selector program played by the specific plug-in, obtains the user profile from the local storage and sends the played content selector program the selection condition on the basis of the user profile data so as to lead the played content selector program to display the selected content in accordance with the user profile.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for displaying a pseudo taking-out operation of an object from a predetermined area out of the predetermined area is disclosed. The predetermined area is an area defined within a window of a web browser to display a particular content. The particular content is displayed by playing a predetermined file using a particular plug-in of the web browser. The object is at least one part of the particular content. The method comprises: obtaining an identification of the object from the predetermined file; obtaining a data file from a network in accordance with the identification, the data file providing an alternative object, the alternative object having an appearance corresponding to the object; and displaying the alternative object at a position of the object.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is provided for displaying a pseudo drag-and-drop operation of an object from a window of a Web browser out of the Web browser's window on a desktop of a computer system, wherein a first swf file is played by a Flash Player® upon a request by the Web browser to provide a particular content within the Web browser's window, and the object is at least one part of the particular content.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is provided for displaying a Flash®-based user interface on a desktop of a computer system. The method comprises: interpreting a definition file including at least a statement concerning an swf file; requesting a Flash Player® to play the swf file on the basis of the interpretation of the definition file; and displaying on the desktop the Flash-based user interface based on the played specific swf file. The Flash®-based user interface is displayed independently of a so-called Web Browser such as an Internet Explorer® of Microsoft Corporation.

Abstract: A URL notification device for a portable telephone comprises telephone network control means for responding to a received call directed to a telephone number to be contacted for service, electronic mail network connection means for exporting an optional electronic mail, a URL storage unit, telephone number/electronic mail address conversion means for acquiring the telephone number B of a caller when receiving the call and converting the number B to the mail address D allocated to the telephone of the number B, and electronic mail sending means for reading at least one URL from the URL storage unit in response to the received call from the caller telephone number B, creating an electronic mail message in which the URL is described in a text of the message in hypertext format and sending the mail to the address D by the network connection means.
