    Abstract: Provided is a ground flare in which a low-frequency vibration generated from a ground flare tower, such as a chimney, is properly adjusted to suppress it below a fixture-vibration generation limit, thereby preventing surrounding objects from resonating and vibrating. In a ground flare that burns a flammable exhaust gas with a burner at the lower end of a chimney, in which the lower end of the chimney and the periphery of the burner are surrounded by a windbreak, the low-frequency-noise sound pressure level of a ground flare tower composed of the chimney and the windbreak is reduced by selecting at least one of changing a natural frequency generated from the ground flare tower, using multiple ground flare towers, and installing a low-frequency-vibration absorber in the ground flare tower.

    Abstract: A data controller having a data control function and an image read function is added to a printer. A print data prepared by a host can be normally printed and a read image can also be printed without the intervention of the host for enabling a local copy of the original image. Normally packet communications are conducted between the data controller and the printer and a response is made to a status request, etc., sent from the host to the printer in real time. To make a local copy, packet communications are not conducted and data is sent at command level from the data controller to the printer, thereby increasing the processing speed.

    Abstract: A printer-control-only hardware circuit (control circuit) is interposed between a printer driver of a host computer and a printer. The printer driver transmits to the control circuit a series of control circuit commands for use with the control circuit. The series of control circuit commands include several types of commands, such as a backend parameter setting command used for sending a backend parameter which is required for resetting the printer and an RGB data transmission command for the purpose of transmitting full-color RGB raster data. The control circuit identifies the types of control circuit command received. If the control circuit command is a backend parameter setting command, the backend parameter is stored in the command buffer within a memory device.
