  • Publication number: 20230382674
Abstract: The document sheet conveying device includes a second discharge tray, and a switching portion. The second discharge tray rotates between a use posture which allows loading of a document sheet on the second discharge tray and a storage posture in which the second discharge tray serves as a part of the conveyance housing. The switching portion connects a first conveying path formed from a supply tray to a branch point inside the conveyance housing to one of a second conveying path formed from the branch point to a first discharge tray and a third conveying path formed from the branch point to the second discharge tray. The switching portion connects the first conveying path to the third conveying path when the posture of the second discharge tray has been changed to the use posture in a state where the first conveying path is connected to the second conveying path.

  • Publication number: 20230322517
Abstract: A document sheet conveying device includes a guide portion, a swinging shaft, a sheet member, and a biasing member. The guide portion guides a document sheet to the discharge tray. The swinging shaft is provided at an upstream end of the guide portion in a conveyance direction of the document sheet and swingably supports the guide portion with a width direction of the document sheet as an axis direction. One end of the sheet member is fixed to an upstream end of the discharge tray in the conveyance direction, and the other end is supported by the guide portion. As the guide portion is lifted up, the sheet member is drawn out from a part of the guide portion lower than the discharge outlet. The biasing member biases in a direction in which the sheet member is drawn into the guide portion.

  • Patent number: 11572246
Abstract: Provided is a document conveying apparatus that properly discharges documents regardless of the amount of documents stacked on a discharge tray without complicated construction of a transmission mechanism for transmitting a driving force to conveying rollers. A conveying roller pair is provided at an end portion on an upstream side. A swing mechanism swings a discharge mechanism centered around a drive shaft of the conveying roller pair. An upper surface height measuring unit measures the height of the upper surface of documents stacked on the discharge tray. A control unit, by causing the swing mechanism to swing the discharge mechanism according to the height measured by the upper surface height measuring unit, performs control so that the difference between a discharge port and the upper surface of the documents stacked on the discharge tray is within a specified range.
