  • Patent number: 6738411
Abstract: An exclusive OR of outputs from a plurality of shift stages of an M-series generator is formed, thereby obtaining an M-series which has a desired delay, which in an example is a three bit delay with respect to the output code from the generator. Similarly, outputs from a plurality of shift stages are combined and an exclusive OR thereof is formed to provide another delayed M-series. An exclusive OR of each output from the simultaneously delayed code generator and an output from another M-series generator is formed, thus simultaneously obtaining a plurality of Gold code series.

  • Patent number: 6728305
Abstract: A CDMA radio receiver includes a plurality of reception fingers for effecting a dispreading of a received signal with a plurality of spread codes to derive received data. The receiver includes a plural code generator for simultaneously generating and supplying spread codes to the plurality of reception fingers, and a controller for designating a plurality of spread codes which are to be generated and supplied to the plural code series generator and for specifying to which finger they are to be supplied. The plural code series generator includes a shift register having a plurality of shift stages in which a first initial value is loaded by the controller and adapted to be subject to a shift operation in synchronism with a clock.

  • Patent number: 6532882
Abstract: According to the present invention, in a sewing machine, a cylindrical frame for retaining tubular objects is mounted integrally on a cylindrical drive ring that is reciprocally driven in a rotational direction around a cylinder bed and that is linearly reciprocally driven along an axis of the cylinder bed; the drive ring is rotatably supported by a support member that is arranged to contact the outer periphery of the drive ring at three or more positions. By utilizing this construction, not only the drive ring, but also the frame that is mounted thereon may have a small diameter, and the drive ring can be stably supported by the support member so that it smoothly rotates. As a result, the frame can retain tubular objects having a small diameter, such as golf club covers and wrist bands, and a sewing operation, such as an embroidery operation, can be suitably performed along the periphery of the tubular object.

  • Publication number: 20020181558
Abstract: An EOR (XR11, XR12) of outputs from a plurality of shift stages S1, S2, S4 of an M-series generator 31A is formed, thereby obtaining an M-series which has a desired delay, which in an example is a three bit delay with respect to the output code from the generator 31A. Similarly, outputs from a plurality of shift stages are combined and an EOR thereof is formed to provide another delayed M-series. An EOR of each output from the simultaneously delayed code generator 31 and an output from other M-series generator 32 is formed, thus simultaneously obtaining a plurality of Gold code series.

  • Publication number: 20020103000
Abstract: A mobile station, a communication system, and a transmission method are provided. A control unit determines a transmission power limit in accordance with a shape of a mobile station. That is, when the mobile station is not folded, thus presenting a shape that may be considered as allowing the user to hold it in hand to bring the speaker close to the ear for voice communication, the transmission power limit will be set to the one for voice communication. On the other hand, when the mobile station is folded, presenting a shape from which moving image communication may be anticipated, the transmission power limit will be set to the one for moving image communication.

  • Patent number: 6188682
Abstract: A receiving method using a CDMA radio receiver with a plurality of receiving fingers each composed of a code generator, a correlator and a detector. In a visited cell search while in the ON-state of the power supply, different long-period spreading codes are set in the code generators, and if none of correlated outputs from the correlators respectively corresponding to the code generators exceed a threshold value, then new different long-period spreading codes are set in the code generators. If any one of the correlator outputs exceeds the threshold value, the mobile station is decided as staying in the cell corresponding to the long-period spreading code set in that correlator, and this long-period spreading code and time points at which peaks of correlator outputs were obtained with the long-period spreading code are set in the receiving fingers in descending order of the magnitude of correlation peaks.

  • Patent number: 5859907
Abstract: The present invention relates to an echo canceler for training an echo path estimation without providing a hindrance to a speech. The echo canceler of the present invention includes a pseudo noise generator for generating a certain pseudo noise. This pseudo noise is forcibly supplied to a transmission line for transmitting a far-end talker's voice. Here, in the case where the far-end talker's transmitting speech level is faint or the far-end talker is in a speechless condition, a certain correlation is established between the pseudo noise and a signal of the transmission line for transmitting the near-end talker's voice. Based on such a correlation as just mentioned, a coefficient for generating an echo replica is calculated. Therefore, a training for estimating an echo path is performed based on the pseudo noise and without depending on the far-end talker's voice, thereby enabling to generate an appropriate echo replica.

  • Patent number: 4864460
Abstract: An electrically conducting device for use with an electrode roller suitable for causing the electrode roller, which removes electrostatic charges developed on the surface of a web or the like when the web is brought into sliding contact the roller or controls the charges into uniform ones, to conduct with respect to the ground or a power source. The conducting device includes an electrically conducting ring which is slidably fitted over the rotary shaft of the electrode roller. The conducting ring is prevented against rotation by rotation preventive means and is electrically connected through an electrically conducting member to the ground or power source.
