Abstract: A communication device including: a memory; and a processor coupled to the memory, the processor being configured to: transmit a communication frame toward another communication device connected to the communication device through a communication path; determine whether or not an error has occurred in the transmission of the communication frame; and switch a communication method for transmitting the communication frame from a first protocol to a second protocol that has a slower communication speed than the first protocol, in a case in which determination is made that an error occurrence rate during transmission using the first protocol is equal to or greater than a predetermined limit.
