  • Patent number: 6875860
Abstract: This invention provides a method for efficiently purifying 5?-protected thymidines which cannot be efficiently purified by the prior art. Impurities can be separated by obtaining crystals including a carbonyl-containing solvent to provide a highly pure 5?-protected thymidine. Thus, this invention allows 5?-protected thymidines, which cannot be purified in an industrial scale by the prior art, to be easily provided with a high purity in a large scale.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 15, 2002
Date of Patent: April 5, 2005
    Assignee: Mitsui Chemicals, Inc.
Inventors: Hironori Komatsu, Toshiyuki Kouno, Katsutoshi Tsuchiya, Hiroharu Tanikawa, Hiroki Ishibashi
  • Patent number: 6822090
Abstract: An efficient method for producing cytidine derivatives that took away the previous drawbacks by efficiently synthesizing cytidine derivatives by utilizing a tertiary amine can be provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 6, 2002
Date of Patent: November 23, 2004
    Assignee: Mitsui Chemicals, Inc.

  • Patent number: 5240951
Abstract: Application of a rice blast control agent containing an isothiazolecarboxylic acid derivative of the below-described formula, which shows excellent activity against rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae) in rice cultivation, to the water surface of a paddy rice field results in the absorption of the derivative through roots of rice plants, so that the resistance of the rice plants can be enhanced. ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently mean a hydrogen or halogen atom or a particular group, and Y stands for an OR.sub.3 group (R.sup.3 being a hydrogen or alkali metal atom or a particular group), an NHR.sup.4 group (R.sup.4 being a hydrogen atom or a particular group), or a morpholino group.

  • Patent number: 5202329
Abstract: Pyrimidinyloxy(thio)quinoline derivatives represented by the formula (I) which exhibit an excellent controlling effect for plant diseases and are also safe for crop plants, preparation processes of the derivatives, and agri-horticultural fungicides comprising the derivatives as an active ingredient, are disclosed. ##STR1## In the formula (I), X is an oxygen atom or sulfur atom, Y is a hydrogen atom or halogen atom, Z is a hydrogen atom or methyl, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are methoxy or methyl, and n is an integer of 1 or 2.
