    Abstract: The invention provides an electromagnetic clutch that effectively reduces the shock noise produced during the coupling of an armature plate and a drive rotor, and furthermore, has a laminated body that can be provided at a low cost as an essential constituent element. The armature plate 34 of the electromagnetic clutch is a laminated body that comprises a plurality of thin metal plates 41, a plurality of fastening tongues 45 project from the inner diameter side of the friction plate 42 on the friction surface side, and these fastening tongues 45 are bent and surround the other laminated thin metal plates 41 so as to fasten them.
