  • Patent number: 4613753
Abstract: The present invention discloses a photoelectric converting apparatus which comprises a spot-like light beam generating source, an optical system scanning the light beam linearly on a scanned surface, and light receivers having a long piece along the direction of the scanned line and disposed close to the scanned surface in order to receive the reflected light from the scanned surface and generate an electric signal corresponding to the intensity of received light.

  • Patent number: 4514079
Abstract: An optical input and output device which includes laser beam generating means, a photo-conductive drum to be formed with an electrolatent image according to the intensity of a laser beam, scanning means for simultaneously deflecting and distributing the laser beam between the surface of a sheet of paper written with a picture image to be received and the surface of the photo-conductive drum to irradiate and linearly scan the respective surfaces, and photoelectric converting means made receptive of the laser beam reflected from the paper surface thereby to convert it into an electric signal.

  • Patent number: 4476495
Abstract: A digitized multilevel signal is encoded on the basis of unit combinations each including a run-length bit field indicative of run-length at each of the signal levels and a single continuation bit indicative of transition of the signal levels. The encoding is so modified that a virtual run of zero length is inserted when the transition of the signal levels at adjacent sampling points departs from a predetermined order. Polarity of the continuation bit is inverted upon every transition of the signal level.

  • Patent number: 4228329
Abstract: A keyboard structure permitting the interconnection of several hundred flexible key structures in a compact area. The structure includes a matrix of key cells disposed on an insulating surface, the row elements being commonly connected by conductive paths on the surface while the column elements are electrically separate. A contact point for each row and each column element extends to the opposite side of the insulating surface. These contact points are so disposed that parallel conductive paths which run only in the vertical direction may be used to provide row-select and column-select indications.
