  • Patent number: 4761836
Abstract: A washing device for parts of human body being such as anus or private part of female is disclosed. Such washing device is substantially characterized in that the heated-water supply source and the cold-water supply source which are connected with a heated-and-cold-water mixing valve respectively are both installed outside of a toilet chamber or a bathroom and a mixed-water ejecting nozzle is connected to a downstream end of a mixed-water supply passage which has an upper end thereof connected to an outlet opening of the heated-and-cold-water mixing valve. Due to such construction, the washing deivce can extremely improve the heating efficiency so as to enable the considerable energy saving and can unnecessitate the installation of the heat exchangers in the washing device so as to make full use of a narrow space of a toilet chamber or a bathroom.

  • Patent number: 4710033
Abstract: A fluorescent material arranged under an environment of temperature objective for measurement is excited by irradiating red color light or infrared rays, then fluorescent light generated from the fluorescent material is received by an optical sensor thus the temperature of the fluorescent material is measured from an output of the optical sensor on the basis of the correlation between a fluorescent characteristic of the fluorescent material and temperature.

  • Patent number: 4653538
Abstract: A faucet for mixing hot and cold water includes a valve casing, cold and hot water inlet pipes coupled to the valve casing, first and second outlet pipes coupled to the valve casing, a valve housed in the valve casing and having a fixed plate and a movable plate, and an actuator for angularly moving the movable plate. The fixed plate has at least one cold water passage hole communicating with the cold water inlet pipe, at least one hot water passage hole communicating with the hot water inlet pipe, a first outlet hole communicating with the first outlet pipe, and a second outlet hole communicating with the second outlet pipe. The movable plate is held rotatably slidably against the fixed plate in watertight relation and has a recess defined in the surface thereof slidably contacting the fixed plate. When the movable plate is angularly moved by the actuator, at least one of the cold and hot water passage holes is brought into selective communication with the first and second outlet holes through the recess.

  • Patent number: 4575852
Abstract: A p-type semiconductor layer and an active layer and an n-type semiconductor layer are laminated in this order onto an n-type semiconductor layer. The n-type semiconductor layer is provided with an electron injection electrode on its upper part and a narrow current path is formed in its interior with the inversion diffusion layers. A positive hole injection electrode is provided on the p-type semiconductor layer. The direction of taking out the positive hole injection layer is the same as that of the electron injection electrode.

  • Patent number: 4547074
Abstract: A color sensing device comprising four photo-electric transducers formed on a semiconductor substrate, an interference filter provided on the light receiving face of each transducer, a colored filter for selecting a specified transmission band of the interference filter, and three electrodes for delivering electric signals from the transducers individually, one of the electrodes being provided for two of the transducers in common. The transducers each have the area of its light receiving face so determined as to exhibit spectral sensitivity characteristics matching the color matching function of the CIE (Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage) XYZ colorimetric system.
