  • Publication number: 20090269106
Abstract: An image forming apparatus has a spacer roller that contacts a photosensitive drum outside a running region of a transfer member. The spacer roller forms a gap between a developing roller and the photosensitive drum. A cleaning device is positioned at downstream side of a nip position formed between the photosensitive drum and the transfer member. A toner removing blade is disposed between the downstream side of the nip and an upstream side of the cleaning device. The toner removing blade has a contact portion that contacts a contact region between the photosensitive drum and the spacer roller. The rotation axis of the photosensitive drum extends along an inner end of the contact portion. This inner end of the contact portion is positioned within a toner collecting region in which toner is scraped off by the cleaning device.

  • Publication number: 20090163307
Abstract: A baseball or softball bat which enables a ball to fly farther than a conventional bat. The bat is made of metal, wood or carbon fiber-reinforced plastic and its cylindrical ball-hitting part has an axial cross section shape as follows: a lot of concave-surfaced grooves and convex-surfaced ridges are arranged in parallel alternately along the circumference of the bat and the convex parts are round and curved outward. The concave and convex parts are covered by a cylindrical sheet of polyurethane elastomer or similar material. Also, a metal baseball or softball bat is manufactured by grooving the cylindrical ball-hitting part surface by a lathe using a roller.

  • Patent number: 4964254
Abstract: A crosspiece supporting pad in a structural construction member including a resilient member having concavely curved surfaces on its upper and lower sides, and a pair of rigid members each having a convexly curved surface which mates with the concavely curved surfaces of the resilient member. The rigid members are respectively fixed to the upper and lower sides of the resilient member with their convexly curved surfaces respectively held in mating relation with the concavely curved surfaces of the resilient member. The pad has sufficient strength to support a crosspiece in expansion joints and adequately absorbs displacement occuring at the ends of the crosspiece due to a live load and further restrains compressive deformation due to the live load.

  • Patent number: 4213607
Abstract: A grip of a metallic bat is covered with a grip cover made of hard rubber and at least one pin or cotter is forced to penetrate through the grip cover and the grip in order to eliminate the possibility that the bat may fly out from the grip cover upon use. To prevent the pin from falling out, it is physically deformed after insertion, preferably from the inside of the bat.

  • Patent number: 4090709
Abstract: By covering a grip of a metallic bat with a grip cover made of hard rubber and forcing at least one pin or cotter to penetrate through grip end and the grip, the metallic bat of the present invention can avoid the disadvantage of conventional metallic bats whereby the grip may become removed and fly out from the grip cover to cause an unforeseen accident on swinging the bat. It is thus possible to provide a safe and functional metallic bat.
