  • Patent number: 10465934
Abstract: An air conditioner includes an outdoor device and an indoor device. The indoor device includes a control unit, a storage unit, and an infrared sensor unit that detects a human by detecting infrared rays. The infrared sensor unit includes thermal-image acquisition elements that detect infrared rays to acquire thermal image data and a sensor control unit that controls the thermal-image acquisition elements. When receiving the thermal image data from the infrared sensor unit, the control unit determines whether a communication error has occurred in each of the thermal-image acquisition elements. The control unit sets a thermal-image acquisition element that has a number of error determinations equal to or larger than a certain number as a communication-error established element. The control unit does not acquire thermal image data from the communication-error established element.

  • Patent number: 10126008
Abstract: A storage unit stores threshold data indicating first and second thresholds. A heater control determination unit reads the threshold data from the storage unit, enables a heater control when an outdoor air temperature is equal to or lower than the first threshold, and disables the heater control when the outdoor air temperature is equal to or higher than the second threshold. A heater operation control unit sets a heater operation to be always-off when the heater control is disabled, and ON/OFF controls the heater operation based on a relation between an indoor temperature and a set temperature when the heater control is enabled. A reception unit receives a threshold designation signal input by a user and designating at least one of the first and second thresholds. A threshold setting unit sets, based on designation by the received threshold designation signal, the threshold data stored in the storage unit.

  • Publication number: 20170350613
Abstract: To provide an air conditioner 1 that includes an outdoor device and an indoor device and performs air conditioning inside a room. The indoor device includes a control unit, a storage unit, and an infrared sensor unit that detects a human by detecting infrared rays. The infrared sensor unit includes thermal-image acquisition elements that detect infrared rays to acquire thermal image data, and a sensor control unit that controls the thermal-image acquisition elements. At a time of reception of the thermal image data transmitted from the infrared sensor unit, the control unit determines whether an error has been occurred in communication for each of the thermal-image acquisition elements. The control unit sets a thermal-image acquisition element whose sum of number of times of determination that an error has occurred in the communication is equal to or larger than a certain number, as a communication-error established element.

  • Patent number: 9036784
Abstract: A power converter is configured to include an inverter which converts a DC output into an AC voltage of a predetermined frequency, and a high voltage generator which receives an output from output terminals of the inverter and boosts the output to a desired high DC voltage. The high voltage generator includes a transformer, and the primary windings of the transformer are connected to the output terminals of the inverter in parallel by conductive wires connected to both ends of each primary winding. Further, a current sensor is provided to detect a current flowing through each of the primary windings, and a control unit determines abnormalities of a path of the inverter and the primary windings on the basis of a value of the current sensor.

  • Publication number: 20120294428
Abstract: In order to prevent breakage of a power converter, a current which flows into an inverter (3) in the power converter is detected. The inverter (3) is equipped with two or more primary windings in parallel with each other. The current flowing through each of the primary windings is detected by current sensors (17, 6). A control unit (22) determines from the outputs of the current sensors that an abnormality occurs, when current does not flow through any of the primary windings.
