  • Publication number: 20060229396
Abstract: The present invention provides a rubber composition in which increase in elastic modulus due to thermal fatigue is small, change in properties over time is prevented, durability is significantly improved, and the pneumatic tire has a strip which includes the rubber composition. More specifically, the present invention provides a rubber composition which includes 100 parts by weight of (A) a rubber component which includes natural rubber and/or isoprene rubber, 4 to 6 parts by weight of (B) sulfur, 0.5 to 2.0 parts by weight of (C) a resin containing resorcin or a derivative thereof, 0.5 to 2.0 parts by weight of (D) a compound capable of donating a methylene group, and (E) a cobalt metallic salt. The present invention also provides a pneumatic tire having a strip with the above-described rubber composition, which is located on a breaker edge.

  • Patent number: 7082976
Abstract: A pneumatic tire has a rubber member at least partially constituting a tread portion, which member is formed of at least two layers of an outer layer on a tire surface side and an inner layer on a carcass side. A blended amount (X) of an antioxidant in the outer layer is in a range of 0.4–1.6 weight % of an entire composition, and the blended amount (X) of the antioxidant in the outer layer and a blended amount (Y) of the antioxidant in the inner layer satisfy the expression: Y??0.4 X2+2X. Thus, a pneumatic tire suffering less rubber degradation and alleviated in discoloring of the tire surface in prolonged use is provided.

  • Patent number: 6961037
Abstract: The technique of the present invention carries out image processing of image data, which are to be supplied to an image display apparatus having a less number of expressible tones than a number of tones included in original image data and a non-linear display characteristic. The procedure of the present invention takes into account the non-linear display characteristic of the image display apparatus and corrects a tone value with regard to each pixel with a look-up table, so as to enhance a tone distribution corresponding to an area of wide intervals of output lightness, while reducing a tone distribution corresponding to an area of narrow intervals of the output lightness. The procedure then carries out a dispersion-type halftoning process for color reduction to convert the corrected tone values to display tone values expressible by the image display apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20050211360
Abstract: The present invention provides a rubber composition for a tire that is capable of improving air permeability resistance while preventing chipping of the bead toe and a pneumatic tire comprising the rubber composition. Specifically, the present invention relates to a rubber composition for a tire containing a composite material comprising rubber, polyolefin and nylon; the composite material being contained so that the content of nylon is 1 to 40 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the total rubber component in the rubber composition.
