  • Publication number: 20090130916
Abstract: A connector to be mounted on a substrate includes a plurality of contacts each having a contact portion adapted to contact a mating object and a connection portion of a surface mounting type to be connected to a substrate, and a housing having inserting holes for arranging and holding the contacts therein and a fitting portion to be fitted with the mating object. The connection portions are arranged substantially in parallel with the bottom surface of the housing. The bottom surface of the housing is provided with protrusions respectively for the contacts for positioning the connection portions in directions of their heights and confirming positions of the connection portions in the longitudinal direction by bringing the individual connection portions into contact with the protrusions, respectively. The connector thus constructed is free from failed electrical connection and easily and visually confirmed whether the contacts are situated in correct positions without using jigs or the like.

  • Patent number: 7510442
Abstract: A connector includes a housing and a plurality of contacts, and the bottom portion of the housing has a holding bar for holding the contacts. In a region of the bottom portion of the housing corresponding to tips of all the contacts extending from the holding bar upwardly and toward the interior of the housing, a rectangular recess is provided, and a contact buckling-preventing plate is provided in the recess, which includes an upper surface portion formed with through-holes at locations corresponding to contact portions of the contacts, partition walls forming defined spaces for accommodating the contacts in cooperation with the upper surface portion, and jointing ends to be connected to both lateral inner ends of the recess on the side of the holding bar to permit a pivotal movement of the plate. In this manner, the connector can realize an even more reduced overall height and prevent the buckling of contacts upon extraordinary insertion and removal of a card-shaped connecting object.

  • Publication number: 20090053922
Abstract: A connector for a jack includes four contacts of first, second, third and fourth contacts each having a contact portion and a connection portion, and a housing, to exchange signals and to ascertain whether a plug connector has been inserted into the connector. The third contact substantially U-shaped in cross-section includes a contact piece having a first contact part adapted to contact the plug connector, and a spring piece having an elasticity facing to the contact piece and provided by forming a U-shaped slit in a part of the third contact at a location opposite to the contact piece. When the plug connector is inserted into the connector, the plug connector pushes the first contact part of the contact piece to cause the contact piece to be displaced to the spring piece so that the contact piece pushes the spring piece to cause the spring piece to be displaced toward the housing and at the same time the spring piece pushes the contact piece with each other with the aid of its elasticity.

  • Publication number: 20090032436
Abstract: The invention is intended to produce high-pressure light fuel gas with good combustibility by contacting and reacting high-temperature, high-pressure water and heavy oil with each other in a contact-reaction unit to extract light oil components from the heavy oil and to remove metals. The high-temperature, high-pressure water and the heavy oil are introduced to the contact-reaction unit for contact and reaction with each other therein. Heavy oil components not dissolved in the high-temperature, high-pressure water are separated by precipitation from hydrocarbon gases and light oil components which are dissolved in the high-temperature, high-pressure water. The separated heavy oil components are burnt or incinerated without any further modification.

  • Publication number: 20080239656
Abstract: In the disk array system, in the basic chassis, HDD modules are installed from a front surface in a front part of a backboard, and duplex CTL modules are installed up and down from a rear surface in a rear part, and duplex power source modules containing fans are installed in the left and right sides thereof. By the operation of the fans, in the rear part, the cooling air flows separately into each CTL module and into each power source module, and the cooling air having passed through the area of the duct by a block in the CTL module is drawn by the fans in the power source module through a ventilation hole and is then exhausted outside. The cooling air flow path to the plurality of ICs is divided by the block. The rotation speed of the fans is controlled by using a temperature sensor.

  • Publication number: 20080099373
Abstract: The reforming of heavy oil with supercritical water or subcritical water is accomplished by mixing together supercritical water, heavy oil, and oxidizing agent, thereby oxidizing vanadium in heavy oil with the oxidizing agent at the time of treatment with supercritical water and separate vanadium oxide. The separated vanadium oxide is removed by the scavenger after treatment with supercritical water. In this way it is possible to solve the long-standing problem with corrosion of turbine blades by vanadium which arises when heavy oil is used as gas turbine fuel.
