  • Patent number: 7594387
Abstract: A gas turbine which can be easily employed in an area where it is hard to obtain a sufficient amount of water, such as an isolated island. Heated and pressurized heavy oil and water in a supercritical state are mixed with each other in a modifying unit to produce fuel-purpose modified oil. The fuel-purpose modified oil is depressurized by a depressurizing valve. Due to a temperature fall caused by adiabatic expansion with the depressurization, the fuel-purpose modified oil is brought into a two-phase state where moisture is in a gas phase (steam) and modified oil is in a liquid phase. The fuel-purpose modified oil is separated into the steam and the modified oil by a gas-liquid separator. The separated steam is condensed to water in a condenser and returned to a water supply line. The modified oil in the liquid phase is supplied to a combustor, thereby driving a gas turbine.

  • Patent number: 7591983
Abstract: The invention is intended to produce high-pressure light fuel gas with good combustibility by contacting and reacting high-temperature, high-pressure water and heavy oil with each other in a contact-reaction unit to extract light oil components from the heavy oil and to remove metals. The high-temperature, high-pressure water and the heavy oil are introduced to the contact-reaction unit for contact and reaction with each other therein. Heavy oil components not dissolved in the high-temperature, high-pressure water are separated by precipitation from hydrocarbon gases and light oil components which are dissolved in the high-temperature, high-pressure water. The separated heavy oil components are burnt or incinerated without any further modification.

  • Patent number: 7593225
Abstract: In the disk array system, in the basic chassis, HDD modules are installed from a front surface in a front part of a backboard, and duplex CTL modules are installed up and down from a rear surface in a rear part, and duplex power source modules containing fans are installed in the left and right sides thereof. By the operation of the fans, in the rear part, the cooling air flows separately into each CTL module and into each power source module, and the cooling air having passed through the area of the duct by a block in the CTL module is drawn by the fans in the power source module through a ventilation hole and is then exhausted outside. The cooling air flow path to the plurality of ICs is divided by the block. The rotation speed of the fans is controlled by using a temperature sensor.

  • Publication number: 20090178168
Abstract: In a two-dimensional probe array, an interval between the leading ends of probes adjacent to each other in an X direction is made shorter than that between the leading ends of probes adjacent to each other in a Y direction. Thus, the leading ends of the probes are arranged to form a lattice wherein many rectangles are arranged. Furthermore, the lowest resonance frequency of an actuator which moves a recording medium in the X direction is set higher than the lowest resonance frequency of an actuator which moves the recording medium in the Y direction. At the time of recording or reading information, the recording medium is reciprocated in the X direction at a frequency substantially equal to the lowest resonance frequency of the actuator.

  • Publication number: 20090053922
Abstract: A connector for a jack includes four contacts of first, second, third and fourth contacts each having a contact portion and a connection portion, and a housing, to exchange signals and to ascertain whether a plug connector has been inserted into the connector. The third contact substantially U-shaped in cross-section includes a contact piece having a first contact part adapted to contact the plug connector, and a spring piece having an elasticity facing to the contact piece and provided by forming a U-shaped slit in a part of the third contact at a location opposite to the contact piece. When the plug connector is inserted into the connector, the plug connector pushes the first contact part of the contact piece to cause the contact piece to be displaced to the spring piece so that the contact piece pushes the spring piece to cause the spring piece to be displaced toward the housing and at the same time the spring piece pushes the contact piece with each other with the aid of its elasticity.
