  • Patent number: 10619588
Abstract: A controller for an internal combustion engine includes: a failure determination section which determines a failure state in a case where a relative rotation phase of an intake side valve opening and closing timing control mechanism does not change when controlling the mechanism after starting the driving of a starter motor and trying to change the relative rotation phase of the mechanism in a start control for starting an internal combustion engine. When the section determines a failure, the controller performs at least one of an intake air amount increase control in which an opening degree of a throttle valve is increased, an ignition timing advance angle control in which injection of fuel is performed at a timing earlier than a set timing and ignition is performed, and a multi-injection control in which the fuel is injected immediately before the ignition in addition to the fuel injection in an intake stroke.

  • Patent number: 10607379
Abstract: A graph drawing system includes an electronic device and a calculation server. A first processor of the electronic device transmits calculation inquiry data including information on a function entered by a user operation to the calculation server. A second processor of the calculation server calculates drawing information including coordinates of a plurality of drawing points represented by the function and plotted in a graph drawing area of the display, and continuity/discontinuity information indicating whether or not adjacent points of the drawing points should be connected to each other, based on the calculation inquiry data and transmits the drawing information to the electronic device. The first processor causes the display to display a graph corresponding to the function, based on the drawing information.

  • Publication number: 20200045208
Abstract: An image processing apparatus performs image processing to print a color materials of a first color and a second color. When a sum of a first gradation data for the first color and a second gradation data for the second color is equal to or smaller than the maximum value of thresholds of a first threshold matrix, a generation unit generates a second quantization data for the second color based on a result of comparing the second gradation data with a second threshold. When the sum is greater than the maximum value, the generation unit generates third gradation data by subtracting the maximum value from the sum and generates the second quantization data based on a result of comparing the third gradation data with the first threshold or a result of comparing a difference between the second gradation data and the third gradation data with the second threshold.

  • Publication number: 20200042840
Abstract: When a sum of a first gradation data for a first color and a second gradation data for a second color is greater than the maximum value of thresholds of a first threshold matrix, a generation unit generates a first overlapping gradation data and second overlapping gradation data by dividing a value obtained by subtracting the maximum value from the sum. Further, the generation unit generates a first quantization data based on a result of comparing the first overlapping gradation data with the second threshold or a result of comparing a difference between the first gradation data and the first overlapping gradation data with the first threshold, and generates a second quantization data based on a result of comparing the second overlapping gradation data with the first threshold or a result of comparing a difference between the second gradation data and the second overlapping gradation data with the second threshold.

  • Publication number: 20200006917
Abstract: A method of determining initial parameters and target values for tuning an emission wavelength of a wavelength tunable laser capable of emitting laser light in a substantial wavelength range is disclosed. The method iterates an evaluation of initial parameters and target values at target wavelengths in a preset order. The evaluation includes steps of supplying empirically obtained parameters to the t-LD, confirming whether the t-LD generates an optical beams, determining the initial parameters and the target values by carrying out feedback loops of the AFC and the APC when the t-LD generates the optical beam, or shifting the wavelength range so as to exclude the current target wavelength when the t-LD generates no optical beam.
