  • Publication number: 20240075736
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a mounting unit, a tank, a pump, a detection unit, an obtainment unit, and a control unit. The mounting unit is configured so that a head that ejects ink can be mounted in a replaceable manner. The tank contains ink to be supplied to the head via a tube. The pump discharges ink to an outside of the head. The detection unit detects that the head mounted on the mounting unit has been replaced. The obtainment unit obtains information of a usage history which indicates whether or not the head mounted as a replacement has been used. The control unit controls a discharge operation, which is performed by the pump after head replacement, to be changed based on the information of the usage history.

  • Patent number: 11766868
Abstract: An ejection apparatus includes an ejection head having an ejection port surface and configured to eject a liquid to a recording medium for recording, a wiper configured to wipe the surface, and a moving unit configured to relatively move the wiper and the head to move the wiper in a first direction along the surface with respect to the head. The apparatus performs a first mode for performing the wiping while relatively moving the wiper and the head at a first speed, and a second mode for performing the wiping while relatively moving the wiper and the head at a second speed higher than the first speed. When the apparatus performs the wiping after the recording and then performs subsequent recording, the apparatus performs the second mode. When the apparatus performs the wiping after the recording and then performs no subsequent recording, the apparatus performs the first mode.

  • Publication number: 20220274418
Abstract: A printing apparatus counts an ink quantity in an ink tank in accordance with consumption of ink from the ink tank, updates and holds a count value obtained by the count in a counter, and detects whether ink injection to the ink tank has been done before execution of sensing by a sensing unit configured to sense whether a predetermined quantity of ink is present in the ink tank. If sensing by the sensing unit is executed, the apparatus reads out a preceding sensing result from a memory that stores a sensing result of presence/absence of the ink by the sensing unit, verifies a transition between the preceding sensing result and a current sensing result, and controls operations of reset of the count value held by the counter and the count based on the transition and a result of the detection.

  • Patent number: 9603245
Abstract: To provide an electrolytic copper foil for a negative electrode for a lithium-ion secondary battery with which it is possible to produce a long-life lithium-ion secondary battery in which there is no decline in the capacity retention ratio even when the charge-discharge cycling is repeated, that has long life, and no deformation of a negative electrode current collector occurs. The electrolytic copper foil constituting the negative electrode current collector for the lithium-ion secondary battery has, after heat treatment at from 200 to 400° C., a 0.2% proof stress of 250 N/mm2 or more, and elongation of 2.5% or more; and the surface on which an active material layer of the electrolytic copper foil is provided has been rust-proofed, or roughened and rust-proofed.

  • Patent number: 9545791
Abstract: When the head temperature Tfinish, which is the head temperature at the time of completion of a preceding scan, is higher than the stable ejection temperature Tstable, the target temperature is made a temperature that is only a temperature value ?T lower than the head temperature Tfinish. On the other hand, when Tfinish, the head temperature at the time of print completion, is lower than the stable ejection temperature Tstable, the target temperature is made a temperature that is only a temperature value ?T higher than the head temperature Tfinish. Because of this it is possible to inhibit head temperature rise in the case where an image with a high print density is printed.

  • Patent number: 9126401
Abstract: A recording apparatus to record an image to a recording medium includes a recording head having nozzles arranged in a predetermined direction in a nozzle array, scanning, recording control, obtaining, determining, and adjusting units. The scanning unit scans the recording head to the recording medium in a crossing direction. The recording control unit causes the recording head to record an adjusting pattern and a detecting pattern by discharging ink from a nozzle group. The obtaining unit obtains an information regarding number of defective discharge nozzles in the nozzle group based on the detecting pattern. The determining unit determines an adjusting value based on the recorded adjusting pattern where the indicated number is smaller than a threshold value, and not based on the adjusting pattern where the indicated number is larger than the threshold value. The adjusting unit adjusts the recording head recording position based on the determined adjusting value.

  • Patent number: 9108410
Abstract: The present invention provides a printing apparatus including, a printhead; a preliminary discharge unit; a detecting unit detecting a size of a printing medium; and a scaling process unit. The scaling process unit scales an image to be formed on the printing medium in accordance with a detected size when a size of a printing medium indicated by size setting information and the detected size do not match each other. The preliminary discharge unit causes the printhead to perform preliminary discharge in accordance with a scaling result of the scaling process unit.
