  • Patent number: 11759700
Abstract: Only a first parameter associated with an active object is incremented in accordance with an exercise amount of a user. In accordance with the exercise amount of the user, a second parameter is incremented even when the first parameter has not reached an upper limit, and the second parameter is incremented also when the first parameter has reached the upper limit. An in-game reward according to the active object with which the first parameter is associated is given to the user when the first parameter has reached the upper limit.

  • Publication number: 20230173389
Abstract: A player may send virtual characters to travel to remote locations in a parallel-reality game. The remote locations are virtual locations corresponding to real-world locations other than where the player is located. The player can therefore send a virtual character to a virtual location without traveling to the corresponding real-world location themselves. A travel time and a path the character will travel along to reach the remote location is determined. Once the virtual character has reached the remote location, it stays there for a duration of time. Client devices of players near the remote location may display a visual representation of the virtual character. The virtual character may collect virtual items and interact with other players and return to the player with any virtual items it has collected or been given.

  • Patent number: 11590423
Abstract: A system provides an augmented reality (AR) experience in a parallel-reality application in which a geography of a virtual world parallels a geography of the real world. The system receives a connection request from a client device and receives a route that the client device traversed in the real world. The route comprises a plurality of locations in the real world. The system determines a plurality of virtual locations to place virtual elements at, where each virtual element corresponds to a location in the real world of the route. The system updates a global state of the AR experience to include the plurality of virtual elements at the plurality of virtual locations. The system provides, to a second client device, AR data including some of the virtual locations for display of some of the virtual elements at the corresponding locations in the real world.

  • Publication number: 20220367887
Abstract: A sheet member includes a pair of main surfaces opposing each other. A maximum thickness that is a maximum interval between the pair of main surfaces is 40 ?m or more and 450 ?m or less. The sheet member has a region in which a plurality of coherent pattern lines appear when viewed from a direction facing the pair of main surfaces, the plurality of coherent pattern lines being arranged at intervals in a direction in which one edge portion and another edge portion opposing the one edge portion oppose each other, and a pair in the plurality of coherent pattern lines adjacent to each other do not intersect.

  • Patent number: 11079521
Abstract: There is provided an optical member that achieves a desired light distribution characteristic while having a simple configuration. The optical member includes a first transparent optical sheet and a second transparent optical sheet that are superimposed on each other in a first axial direction. The first transparent optical sheet includes a structure in which a first region and a second region are alternately disposed in a second axial direction. The second transparent optical sheet includes a structure in which a third region and a fourth region are alternately disposed in a third axial direction. An angle formed by the third axial direction with respect to the second axial direction is equal to or greater than 0° and less than 45°.

  • Patent number: 10133121
Abstract: There is provided a light-emitting device that exhibits superior luminance contribution rate of a light source while reducing in-plane luminance unevenness despite a simple configuration. The light-emitting device includes: a substrate on which one or more light sources are provided; and a reflective plate placed on the substrate. The reflective plate includes: an opening into which the light source is inserted; a sloped section that is sloped relative to the substrate while surrounding the opening, and has a first thickness; and a top surface section that is coupled to a top end of the sloped section, and has a second thickness. The first thickness is greater than the second thickness.
