  • Patent number: 10932961
Abstract: An absorbent article has a length direction, a width direction and a thickness direction, and is provided at least with an absorbent body including water-absorbent fibers. The absorbent body includes deformation-guiding portions which extend in a predetermined direction, and base portions provided on both sides of each deformation-guiding portion. The deformation-guiding portions are provided with compressed regions which extend in said predetermined direction and in which the absorbent body has been compacted in the thickness direction, and protruding portions which extend in the predetermined direction on both sides of each compressed region and which protrude from the base portion toward the skin surface. • Publication number: 20190336358
Abstract: In an absorbent article, a base sheet and an absorption core have therein a recessed part extending in the thickness direction. The recessed part has a bottom part and a wall part raised from the bottom part toward the base sheet. The base sheet has, in the recessed part, a colored region which can be visually recognized from the skin side. A coloration gray scale value (display is performed with black being set to 0 and white being set to an arbitrarily determined positive value) of a linear region, which includes a borderline between the bottom part and the wall part and has a predetermined width, is smaller than coloration gray scale values of both regions, which are situated on both sides of the linear region so as to be adjacent thereto and each of which has a width equal to the width of the linear region.

  • Publication number: 20190247246
Abstract: An absorbent article has a colored region between a top sheet and an absorbent core, with a color different from that of the top sheet and being visible through the top sheet. A liquid-permeable substrate sheet between the top sheet and the absorbent core includes a fiber material. A microparticle adhesion region is where non-absorbent and water-insoluble microparticles of a color different from the color of the colored region have been adhered to the fiber material of the substrate sheet, with the average particle size of the microparticles being less than the average width of the fiber material of the substrate sheet. In the thickness direction, the microparticle adhesion region includes a region overlapping with both the colored region and a surrounding region that surrounds the colored region.

  • Patent number: 9675502
Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing an absorbent article in which a bonding part for bonding a liquid-permeable layer to an absorbent core has been formed in a low-basis-weight region of the absorbent core and which has all of sufficient flexural rigidity of the bonding part, sufficient bonding strength of the bonding part, and sufficient liquid-absorbing properties. This problem is solved with an absorbent core which comprises a first region that has a given absorbent-material basis weight and second regions (regions 411a, 411b) that have a lower absorbent-material basis weight than the first region, wherein the ratio of the basis weight of a highly absorbing polymer to the basis weight of the absorbent material in the second regions is regulated to 10/100 to 47/100, and compressed parts are formed inside the second regions.

  • Publication number: 20170095376
Abstract: A bodily fluid absorbent matrix adapted to restrict a wet feeling against the wearer's skin after the absorbent matrix in a bodily fluid absorbent wearing article having absorbed bodily fluids and a method for manufacturing the absorbent matrix. A bodily fluid absorbent wearing article has an absorbent matrix formed of aggregate of bodily fluid absorbent material between a liquid-permeable first sheet and a liquid-impermeable second sheet. The member includes hydrophilic fibers as the bodily fluid absorbent material. Density of the absorbent matrix changes so as to increase from the first sheet toward the second sheet in thickness direction of the absorbent matrix. A planar orientation index of the hydrophilic fibers also changes so as to increase in the thickness direction of the absorbent matrix.

  • Patent number: 8969650
Abstract: The present invention provides a bodily fluid-absorbent structure improved so as to facilitate bodily fluids to disperse in a thickness direction of the structure. Core material of a bodily fluid-absorbent structure is formed of an aggregation of fluff wood pulp fibers. The aggregation has a basis mass in a range of 150 to 500 g/m2 and a specific volume in a range of 3 to 20 cc/g. In the aggregation, a relationship between horizontal orientation index IH and specific volume VSP of fluff wood pulp fibers is represented by a formula as follows: IH is less than or equal to ?0.099VSP+2.4.

  • Publication number: 20120196091
Abstract: Short fibers of thermoplastic synthetic resin are fusion bonded to one another to form a nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric is formed on its upper surface with crests and troughs extending in parallel to one another. The crests include first crests having a uniform height dimension from a lower surface of the nonwoven fabric and second crests having a uniform height dimension from a lower surface of the nonwoven fabric which is smaller than the height dimension of the first crests. Density of the nonwoven fabric gradually increases in the order of the first crests, the second crests and the troughs. The first crests are formed so that the density of the first crests remains lower than the density of the second crests even when the first crests are compressed toward the lower surface until the first crests becomes flush with the level of the second crests.
