    Abstract: A hot press forming die includes a die main body (2) made of alloy tool steel, and a number of forming projections (3) projecting on the die main body and configured to form a forming surface (5) that comes into contact with a heated metal plate material that is an object to be formed and form a refrigerant passage through which a cooling medium flows. The die main body includes a first forming portion (14) in which the forming surface is formed to extend in a direction intersecting a forming direction of the metal plate material, a second forming portion (15) in which the forming surface is formed to extend in the forming direction, and a third forming portion (16) configured to connect the first forming portion and the second forming portion such that the forming surface becomes a convex surface. The forming projection provided on the third forming portion is formed to be a projecting strip extending between the first forming portion and the second forming portion.

    Abstract: A hot-press molding apparatus includes an upper mold (14) having a molding surface for molding a to-be-molded portion (4) of a metal sheet material (2) and a blade (32a) serving as a punch (32), a lower mold (13) having a molding surface (21) for molding the to-be-molded portion by sandwiching it in cooperation with the upper mold, and a die (16) configured to separate, from the to-be-molded portion, a trimming portion (3) positioned outside the to-be-molded portion in the metal sheet material in which the to-be-molded portion is molded by the upper mold and the lower mold, in cooperation with the blade of the upper mold. An outer side surface (14a) of the upper mold is so formed as to extend in the cutting direction of the punch, and defines, on the side of the upper mold, a cooling suppression space (62) to which the trimming portion is exposed and which suppresses cooling of the trimming portion.

    Abstract: A mold includes a mold main body (12) including a molding face (12a) and a support base (11) including a mounting surface (15) which tightly contacts a back face (12a ) of the mold main body (12), the support base (11) being mounted with the mold main body (12). The mold includes a refrigerant passage (43) through which a refrigerant for cooling the mold main body (12) and the support base (11) flows. The refrigerant passage (43) includes a groove (16) which is open to at least one surface of the mounting surface (15) of the support base (11) and the back face (12b) of the mold main body (12) and extends along the one surface. There can be provided a mold that can uniformly cool the molded product.
