  • Publication number: 20240034161
Abstract: A vehicle charging and discharging system to be applied to an electric vehicle includes a rectifier, an inverter, a relay, and a control processor. The rectifier is disposed on a charging path through which a battery of the electric vehicle is to be contactlessly charged from external equipment via a coil in the electric vehicle. The inverter is disposed on a first path from the battery to an electric power output terminal of the electric vehicle, the electric power output terminal allowing for output of electric power stored in the battery. The relay is disposed on a second path from the inverter to the coil. The control processor controls an operation state of the relay to allow the electric power stored in the battery to be contactlessly discharged to the external equipment via the inverter, the relay, and the coil on the second path.

  • Patent number: 11499488
Abstract: A supercharging system to be mounted in a vehicle including an engine, a driving operator, and an electric power storage unit includes an exhaust turbine, an intake compressor, an electric power converter, and a controller. The exhaust turbine generates electric power. The intake compressor feeds compressed intake air to the engine. The electric power converter supplies electric power from the electric power storage unit and recovers electric power to the electric power storage unit via an electric power path between the exhaust turbine and the intake compressor. The controller acquires a target value of compression power of the intake compressor, based on an operation of the driving operator and an operating state of the engine, and controls the electric power converter such that electric power corresponding to a difference between the acquired target value and the generated electric power is supplied from or recovered to the electric power storage unit.

  • Publication number: 20220260008
Abstract: A supercharging system to be mounted in a vehicle including an engine serving as an internal combustion engine, and a chargeable and dischargeable electric power storage unit includes an exhaust turbine, an electrically powered intake compressor, and an electric power converter. The exhaust turbine is configured to generate electric power in response to receipt of exhaust from the engine. The intake compressor is configured to feed compressed intake air to the engine. The electric power converter is configured to accumulate the electric power generated by the exhaust turbine in the electric power storage unit and supply the electric power accumulated in the electric power storage unit to the intake compressor. At least one of the exhaust turbine or the intake compressor is of an axial-flow type.
