  • Patent number: 9262442
Abstract: A technique for generating a representative image representing a case and radiographic interpretation information for each case includes calculating wavelet features of a plurality of images that have been taken and stored in the past. The calculated wavelet features and extracted keywords are stored in association with the stored images. The stored images are classified on the basis of the extracted keywords to generate a plurality of groups. For each of the generated groups, a centroid vector of wavelet feature-based feature vectors of respective images corresponding to the keywords is calculated and a spatial distance between the calculated centroid vector and each of the wavelet feature-based feature vectors is calculated. For each of the groups, the image for which the calculated spatial distance is the shortest and the radiographic interpretation information associated with the image is stored as a representative image of that group.

  • Publication number: 20160034779
Abstract: Embodiments are provided to search for a dictionary image corresponding to a target image. The method includes detecting keypoints in a set of dictionary images. The set of dictionary images includes at least one dictionary image having a plurality of pixels. At least one random pair of pixels is selected among the detected keypoints of the dictionary image on the basis of candidate coordinates for pixels distributed around the detected keypoints of the dictionary image. A feature vector of each keypoint of the dictionary image is calculated, including calculating a difference in brightness between the selected pairs of pixels of the dictionary image. The calculated difference in brightness is an element of the feature vector. Keypoints of a target image are detected.

  • Publication number: 20160034781
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to detecting the number, position, and orientation of objects when a plurality of recognition target objects are present in a search target image. Dictionary image data is provided, including a recognition target pattern, a plurality of feature points of the recognition target pattern, and an offset (Ox, Oy) from the coordinates at the center of the image to the coordinates of the feature point. The sizes (Rt) and directions (?t) of feature vectors for the coordinates (Tx, Ty) of a plurality of feature points in the target image are also provided. The coordinates (Fx, Fy) of a virtual center point in the target image is derived. Additional virtual center points within a radius of the coordinates (Fx, Fy) is counted. Presence of a recognition target object is recognized near the virtual center point coordinates of the search target image.

  • Publication number: 20150373113
Abstract: A technique for operating a storage network system includes storing, at one or more of a plurality of data collection storages arranged along a traveling path of a mobile body, data records received from the mobile body. An acknowledge (ACK) record including a storage identifier (ID) is transmitted, from the one or more of the plurality of data collection storages to the mobile body, in response to receiving the data records. Communication between a user storage and the one or more of the plurality of data collection storages is established via a communication network that is configured to receive the ACK record and receive and store at least one of the data records from the one or more of the data collection storages that is identified by the storage ID in the received ACK record.

  • Publication number: 20150363429
Abstract: A technique for searching for an image includes calculating wavelet features of a plurality of images. A keyword included in radiographic interpretation information is extracted for each of the stored images. The calculated wavelet features and the extracted keywords are stored in association with the respective stored images. A newly taken image is acquired and a wavelet feature of the acquired image is calculated. A keyword included in radiographic interpretation information corresponding to the acquired image is extracted and a search for similar radiographic interpretation information from the stored keywords is performed. A wavelet feature-based spatial distance between the acquired image and each of images corresponding to the radiographic interpretation information found is calculated. A search result of any images for which the calculated wavelet feature-based spatial distance is shorter than a predetermined value is output, in ascending order of the calculated wavelet feature-based spatial distance.

  • Publication number: 20150294453
Abstract: An image of a region in front of a vehicle is picked up by a camera and analyzed by a control unit to learn a focus-of-expansion position. The control unit controls learning of a focus-of-expansion position based on outputs of a wheel-speed sensor and an acceleration sensor. Specifically, the control unit keeps the learning process in an off-state until a vehicle speed specified from an output of the wheel-speed sensor exceeds a reference speed. When the vehicle speed exceeds the reference speed, the control unit determines whether an error is less than a threshold, the error being between a vehicle speed calculated from an integrated value of an acceleration on the basis of an output of the acceleration sensor up to then, and a vehicle speed specified from an output of the wheel-speed sensor, and then starts learning the focus-of-expansion position if the error is less than the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20150146930
Abstract: An image analysis apparatus picks up an image of a region ahead of a vehicle using a camera, and allows a control unit to analyze picked-up image data generated by the camera to learn a focus-of-expansion position. The control unit controls the learning performance as follows. Specifically, the control unit does not start the learning performance for the focus-of-expansion position until a state where a detection value of a vehicle speed exceeds a reference speed exceeds a specified duration of time. When the state where a detection value of a vehicle speed exceeds a reference speed exceeds the specified duration of time, the learning performance for the focus-of-expansion position is started from this time point. The specified duration of time may be determined on the basis of statistics on the durations of simulated runs of the vehicle performed on a chassis dynamometer in a vehicle inspection.
