  • Publication number: 20120030329
Abstract: An information processing apparatus connectable to other information processing apparatuses useable as link partner apparatuses via a network can prepare a linked scenario. The linked scenario is preparable by linking a plurality of discrete services providable by the information processing apparatus and the link partner apparatuses. The information processing apparatus includes a processor to conduct the steps of: storing link information arranging each of the discrete services providable by the information processing apparatus and the link partner apparatuses from high to low linking closeness trend; preparing a plurality of path patterns for the linked scenario by linking a plurality of discrete services based on the link information, in which the path patterns are prepared to satisfy an inputting format and an outputting format designated for the linked scenario; displaying the plurality of path patterns prepared for the linked scenario; and registering a primary linked scenario by selecting one path.

  • Patent number: 7860424
Abstract: Image processing apparatus and method to perform an image processing job based on a received processing request, which includes a processing condition set by a user. Error protection is performed to detect a job setting error caused by a mismatching between the processing condition of the image processing job and a processing capability of the image processing apparatus. Error information relates to a previously detected air that is the job setting error previously detected. Error report conditions indicate whether the previously detected air has a same condition as the processing condition of the image processing job. Error information is managed to store information relating to the currently detected error when the currently detected error satisfies an error storage condition, determine whether the currently detected satisfies the error report condition and generate an error report to notify the user and an administrator when these conditions are satisfied.

  • Patent number: 7697861
Abstract: A printing apparatus receives a plurality of print jobs containing print data from a host computer connected thereto through a network. The printing apparatus temporarily stores the print job in a storage unit to print the print data. The printing apparatus receives a request to pause or restart printing of a print job, and controls execution of the print job in response to the request. Upon receiving a request to restart a print job being paused, the printing apparatus determines a printing order according to a predetermined condition to print the print job.

  • Publication number: 20090235344
Abstract: In an information processing apparatus that includes a master agent and a subagent for SNMP and performs communication between the master agent and the subagent using an AgentX packet conforming to a standard stipulated by AgentX protocol, an authenticating unit determines whether a manager is legitimate based on authentication data included in the data acquisition request received from the manager by an authentication-data acquiring unit; a session-data creating unit creates session data including at least a result of authentication; a session-data providing unit provides to the subagent the session data; and an access control unit performs access control for data requested in the data acquisition request based on the session data received by the subagent.

  • Publication number: 20060149718
Abstract: An image forming apparatus stores documents, and performs an operation by specifying a document for which the operation is to be performed from a list of documents displayed. The image forming apparatus includes an error-information storage unit that stores an error information including information on a document for which the operation has failed to be completed; and a display unit that displays the list while discriminating the documents for which the operation has failed from documents for which the operation has succeeded, based on the error information.
