  • Patent number: 5794586
Abstract: This invention relates to a fuel injection control system for an in-cylinder injection internal combustion engine. The system is provided with a fuel injection valve (1) arranged at a cylinder for injecting fuel into the cylinder, fuel feed pressure setting unit (121) for setting a fuel injection pressure of the fuel injection valve (1) at a low pressure in a specific operation state including a start-up of the internal combustion engine and for setting said fuel injection pressure at a high pressure in an operation state other than the specific operation state, and fuel injection controller (120) for setting an injection period of the fuel injection valve (1) as a period longer than a period of a single stroke in an operation cycle of the internal combustion engine in the specific operation state.

  • Patent number: 5588410
Abstract: An air-fuel ratio of respective (individual) cylinders of an engine is changed individually from a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio to a lean air-fuel ratio with the change timing of each of respective cylinders deviated and the intake air flow into an engine 11 is changed gradually by opening an air bypass valve in parallel to the changing of the air-fuel ratio. Concurrent change of ignition timing is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5158584
Abstract: An oxygen enriching module provided with a bundle of many hollow oxygen enriching fibers, each having an air through-passageway enclosed by an oxygen selective permeable membrane wall, a container cell in the shape of a hollow open-ended casing for sealingly encasing the hollow oxygen enriching fibers, an axial air blowing device or air blowing fan integrally connected to at least one end of the container cell to cause an axial flow of the atmospheric air parallel with the axes of the bundle of many hollow oxygen enriching fibers and passing through the air passageways of the bundle of the many hollow oxygen enriching fibers, to thereby obtain an oxygen enriched air from the atmospheric air due to permeation of a part of the atmospheric air through the oxygen selective permeable membrane walls of the hollow oxygen enriching fibers into the chamber of the container cell.

  • Patent number: 4926817
Abstract: An improved combustion chamber of a subchamber type of internal combustion engine defines a space extending contiguously to a subchamber injection port within a subchamber mouthpiece. A subchamber injection port control rod is disposed in the space adjacent the injection port. Remote from the subchamber injection port is an actuator within the space. A working substance such as wax, rubber, alcohol, etc. that expands and contracts to a large degree when subjected to temperature changes is sealingly enclosed within the actuator by an expansible member made of rubber or the like. One end of the subchamber injection port control rod is inserted into the expansible member.

  • Patent number: 4875445
Abstract: A combustion chamber of a sub-chamber type internal combustion engine is improved so as to operate efficiently at an excellent fuel consumption with low smoke density, either upon partial loading or upon heavy loading. The combustion chamber includes a sub-chamber port communicating a main combustion chamber with a subsidiary combustion chamber formed within a cylinder head. A space portion is formed in a cylinder head member on the side of the sub-chamber port located farthest from a cylinder center line on a cross-sectional plane of the sub-chamber port defined as a plane including a center line of the subsidiary combustion chamber and the center line of a cylinder and opening into the sub-chamber port. An expansible/contractible tube is contained within the space portion. A sub-chamber port control rod is connected to the expansible/contractible tube and slidably extends into the opening of the space portion.

  • Patent number: 4016112
Abstract: In manufacturing a foamed structure from an unsaturated polyester resin, a diallyl phthalate resin and a curable 1,2-polybutadiene resin, foaming of the resin is carried out with the reaction of acid esters of phosphoric acid and/or acid esters of phosphorous acid with metal carbonates and/or metal bicarbonates.
