  • Patent number: 6741276
Abstract: In a camera control system, a video sending terminal sends video from a video camera through a network to client terminals. The video camera is controlled by control commands from a client terminal which has been issued control from the video sending terminal in response to a request for control by the client terminal. The client terminal currently controlling the video camera is notified of a new request for control of the video camera made by another client terminal so that client terminals are notified of the locality of the video camera control.

  • Publication number: 20040056870
Abstract: An image composition system includes an HMD (100) having a right-eye camera (110), a left-eye camera (111), a right-eye LCD (130) and a left-eye LCD (131) for displaying a real image, and the like, and an information processing apparatus (300) for generating another image different from the real image. A composite image obtained by superimposing the other image generated by the information processing apparatus (300) on the real image captured by the right-eye camera (110) and left-eye camera (111) is displayed on the right-eye LCD (130) and left-eye LCD (131). The display region of the other image is determined based on the position and posture of the head of the user who wears the HMD (100). The user can observe the other image superimposed on the real image at an appropriate position while wearing the HMD on his or her head.

  • Patent number: 6670984
Abstract: A camera control system permits a variety of types of cameras to be connected thereto, and makes it possible to control a plurality of cameras by using standardized camera control commands to enable a user to control them without worrying about the difference in type of cameras connected thereto. The camera control system is also capable of supplying the information on the cameras connected to a user. In a camera server, the information on a video camera connected to the camera server is entered, the input of the information on the video camera that has been entered is determined, and the information on the video camera which has been determined is stored. If an external signal is received, then the external signal is converted to a control signal compatible with the video camera according to the stored information on the video camera.

  • Patent number: 6579620
Abstract: A water-repellent coating has tetrafluoroethylene resin powder, silicone resin binder, and organic solvent. The tetrafluoroethylene resin powder has a ratio of the peak absorbance at 1,800 cm−1 to the peak absorbance at 500 cm−1 of 0.0001 to 0.05 exclusive. A coating film is formed by applying such a coating on a substrate. The coating has the properties of high water repellency, excellent anti-ice-coating, excellent anti-snow-coating, and so on, in spite of not having a large amount of fluororesin powder. In addition, the coating of film keeps the water repellency regardless of whether the coating film is immersed into water for a long time.

  • Publication number: 20020075286
Abstract: An image generating system is provided which is capable of reducing the time difference between the real space image and the virtual space image to thereby provide a more real composite image for the observer. A video camera captures an image of a real space at an observer's eye position and in the observer's line-of-sight direction. A line-of-sight detecting device detects the observer's eye position and line-of-sight direction. A virtual space image generator generates a virtual space image at the observer's eye position and in the observer's line-of-sight direction, the position and orientation being detected by the line-of-sight detecting device. A composite image generator generates a composite image by synthesizing the virtual space image generated by the virtual space image generator and a real space image outputted by the video camera. A display device displays the composite image generated by the composite image generator.
