Abstract: A satellite control method is provided for keeping at an identical longitude a plurality of geostationary satellites in which east-west velocity increment (NS coupling) during the execution of north-south orbit control is not negligible. Eccentricity vectors of the geostationary satellites are localized to ensure a large difference therebetween, such that the circumferences of circles, which indicate the ranges of variation of the eccentricity vectors due to the radiation pressure of the sun and NS coupling, do not overlap and are separated from one another at a distance at least greater than a specified minimum inter-satellite distance.
