  • Publication number: 20250215023
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a branched organopolysiloxane that has excellent compatibility with polar oils and the like and that can serve as a substitute for conventional low-molecular-weight siloxanes. Furthermore provided is a production method with which the branched organopolysiloxane is easily obtained at high purity. A branched organopolysiloxane represented by formula (1) (in the formula, R1 is independently a C1-3 alkyl group, R2 independently represent a C2 or C3 alkyl group, R3 independently represent a C1-3 alkyl group, n is 1 or 2, and m is an integer of 0-3 when n=1 but is 0 or 1 when n=2; additionally, the bonding order of the siloxane units is not limited to the above, and the bonding state of the siloxane units may be block or random).

  • Publication number: 20250186331
Abstract: This cosmetic contains at least one branched organopolysiloxane represented by (R13SiO1/2)a(R12SiO2/2)b(R1SiO3/2)c(SiO4/2)d (In the formula, R1s are independently a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, or a monovalent alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms; and two or more of R1s are monovalent alkyl groups having 2 or 3 carbon atoms.) having a boiling point of 87-119° C. at 10 hPa. The branched organopolysiloxane provides a cosmetic which: has a light feel and good spreadability; has a uniform cosmetic film and high water repellency and can thus yield a uniform film, does not have a strong oily feeling; can provide a good feeling of use; and has excellent storage stability and long-lasting cosmetic properties (cosmetic retentivity) even when an oily component such as silicone and an organic ultraviolet absorber are mixed.

  • Publication number: 20230172831
Abstract: A cosmetic containing at least one organosiloxane represented by general formula (1), having a boiling point in a range of 205 to 255° C. and a viscosity of less than 5 mm 2/s at 25° C. In the formula, R's are identical to or different from one another and each independently represent a hydrogen group, hydroxy group, or a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, but at least one R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 3 carbon atoms. “a” represents 1 to 5. Thus, a cosmetic which has light touch, good spread, and excellent water repellency, forms uniform cosmetic film, and successfully achieves favorable feeling on use with no strong oily feeling, and which has excellent stability over time and cosmetic persistence even when blended with various oil agents, such as silicone, hydrocarbon oil, and ester, an organic ultraviolet absorber, or an oily component solid at 25° C.

  • Patent number: 11639885
Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of evaluating the hydrophobicity of a powder. According to the present invention, a powder is charged into a mixed solvent composed of a lipophilic solvent and a hydrophilic solvent, the voltage rate R of the mixed solvent is measured at predetermined time intervals while adding a lipophilic solvent to the mixed solvent charged with the powder, a parameter x correlating with the concentration of powder is defined for an arbitrary voltage rate R, a continuous function HP(x) of the ratio of a lipophilic solvent corresponding to x is defined, and HP(x) for required x is set as a representative value of a lipophilic solvent ratio distribution and used as an index of hydrophobicity.

  • Patent number: 8980625
Abstract: A cell culture plate has a plurality of flow channels, uneven pattern areas and through holes. The flow channels are formed between the uneven pattern areas, and culture solution flows from the flow channels into the uneven pattern areas or from the uneven pattern areas into the flow channels. The uneven pattern area has uneven patterns that create a cell culture space.
