  • Patent number: 6782812
Abstract: A stencil printer of the present invention includes a print drum around which perforated part of a stencil or master is to be wrapped. A master making section make a master and includes a cutter for cutting the stencil paid out from a roll. A master discharging section removes the master wrapped around the print drum and then discharges it. A deciding device determines, on the turn-on of a power supply, whether or not the power supply has been turned off during an interval between the time when the stencil paid out from the roll starts being perforated and the time when the cutter cuts the stencil. When the deciding device determines that the power supply has been turned off during the above interval, the master discharging section discharges the master present on the print drum.

  • Patent number: 6325854
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling an amount of electric charge on a finely divided powder supplied into a powder transportation pipe in a substantially discrete particle state and transported therethrough in a stream of a compressed gas having a very small water content whose dew-point is 0° C. or less where electric charge is produced by friction on the powder by the collision thereof against the inner wall of the transportation pipe, controls the dew-point of the compressed gas, and the controls amount of frictional electric charge produced on the powder by uniformly spraying the powder onto a grounded sheet surface in a discrete particle state by use of a swinging nozzle.

  • Patent number: 6063451
Abstract: A method for controlling an amount of electric charge on a finely divided powder. When the finely divided powder is supplied into a powder transportation pipe in a substantially discrete particle state and transported therethrough in a discrete particle state by a stream of a compressed gas having a very small water content whose dew-point is 0.degree. C. or less, electric charge is inevitably produced by friction on the powder by the collision thereof against the inner wall of the transportation pipe. By controlling the dew-point of the compressed gas, the amount of frictional electric charge produced on the powder can be controlled even if there is a change in the type of the finely divided powder, the piping system, the spray nozzle, the type and state of the gas serving as a carrier medium, and environmental conditions such as the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 5931305
Abstract: The present invention provides a powder classifier using a classification rotor capable of classifying powder with high efficiency and high accuracy. The classification rotor is attached to a rotating shaft as a body and rotatably supported in a casing. Within the classification rotor, a cavity is formed from the outer edge to the center and classifying vanes are provided around the circumference. The cavity is bent downwardly near the center with the lower end connected through a fine powder passage to a fine powder outlet. The outer edge of the classification rotor is connected to a coarse powder outlet. After feeding powder from a powder supply port, the powder is rotated by the classifying vanes such that coarse powder particles are taken out from the rough outlet by centrifugal force and fine powder particles are taken out by airflow from the fine powder outlet.

  • Patent number: 5690324
Abstract: A sorter having an intermediate transport device using a belt and for transporting printings to bins, and a transport speed control device for changing the transport speed depending on the size of the printings, and the type of the printings including thickness and quality, such that the transport device transports the printings at an optimal speed. The trailing edge portions of the printings are prevented from being left at the outside of the bins and causing jams and other troubles to occur.
