  • Patent number: 6073471
Abstract: A wire-crimping device detects if an electrical terminal is stuck to a crimper after crimping, thereby effectively eliminating deformed terminals. Electrical wire-crimping device (1) has a ram (42) slidably mounted to a housing (4). A reflection light sensor (60) is mounted to the housing (4), and a pathway (80) that communicates with a wire-crimping member (40) is located in the ram (42). If an electrical terminal (30) should stick to crimpers (50, 52) after crimping, and if the wire-crimping member (40) mounted to the ram (42) rises, a wire depressor (54) will also rise, and an upper end of the wire depressor (54) will block the pathway (80). As a result, the light emitted from the reflection light sensor (60) will be reflected and detected by a light sensor, and it will be electrically detected that a defective part has been produced.

  • Patent number: 5756058
Abstract: Impurities such as halides and ammonia are efficiently removed from a gas containing Sox at a high concentration without any substantial addition of fresh water in a process for purifying a sulfur oxides-containing gas. The process involves passing a gas containing sulfur oxides and impurities at a high concentration successively through a first washing column and thence through a second washing column, thereby water washing the gas through the two washing columns to remove the impurities from the gas. The first washing column is operated so that the outlet temperature of the gas from the first washing column is at a temperature at which the gas can have a maximum water content or a temperature near this temperature, and the second washing column is operated such that the outlet temperature of the gas from the second washing column at least 20.degree. C. lower than the outlet temperature of the gas from the first washing column.

  • Patent number: 5657242
Abstract: In order to determine the routes of wiring connections on a multi-layer circuit board, to form a suitable wiring pattern without local congestions of the wiring connections, the wiring region of the circuit board is considered as one or more areas. For each area, a preferred wiring direction is determined for each layer of the circuit board. Those preferred directions for the layers may be determined by proposing initial preferred wiring directions for each layer, determining whether there is congestion of the wiring connections in any area, and changing the wiring direction for one or more layers of such an area to reduce the congestion. Alternatively, the wiring directions can be determined for each layer without there being an initial wiring direction which is common to all areas.
