  • Patent number: 4696725
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for producing a magnetic core, comprising the first step of bringing magnetic powder of a metal into contact with a polymer dispersion, followed by drying, to form an insulating layer on the surface of the magnetic powder and the second step of compression molding the magnetic powder. Also, disclosed is a magnetic core produced by the above process.A magnetic core according to this invention has, since good insulation between magnetic powder particles can be ensured with a small amount of an insulating material, high magnetic flux density, small core loss and excellent frequency characteristics of magnetic permeability and is particularly suitable for use in high frequency range of some 10 KHz or higher.

  • Patent number: 4620933
Abstract: Disclosed are deflecting yoke for electromagnetic deflection type cathode-ray tubes which comprises a compressively molded products consisting substantially of an iron powder or an iron-based alloy magnetic powder; an electrically insulating powdery resin; an organic metallic coupling agent; and an electrically insulating powdery inorganic compound;and a method for manufacturing it which comprises the steps of: mixing an iron powder or an iron-based alloy magnetic powder, an electrically insulating powdery resin and an organometallic coupling agent with one other; then mixing an electrically insulating powdery inorganic compound therewith; and compressively molding the prepared mixture. The deflecting yoke of the present invention has more excellent properties, as compared with conventional ferrite cores and dust cores. Moreover, the deflecting yoke of the present invention can restrain the temperature rise more satisfactorily than the conventional deflecting yoke.

  • Patent number: 4526643
Abstract: A dry etching apparatus using reactive ions is disclosed. A housing in which a workpiece is etched is provided with a cathode electrode on which the workpiece is mounted, and an anode electrode arranged opposite the cathode electrode. An etching gas is supplied to the housing, and pressure inside of the housing is held at a certain level. High frequency voltage is applied between the cathode and anode electrodes. A plurality of magnets are arranged outside of the housing to generate magnetic fields around the cathode electrode. The plurality of magnets are separated from one another, with a predetermined clearance being interposed therebetween, to form an endless track. The plurality of magnets are moved along the endless track, to thereby cause the magnetic fields to be moved in one direction on the cathode electrode.
