  • Patent number: 9665190
Abstract: A position indicator includes: a chassis; a substrate disposed inside the chassis; a coil; capacitors disposed on the substrate; interconnects disposed on the substrate such that each at least partially connects a respective one of the capacitors to the coil in parallel; and pairs of land patterns. Each pair of land patterns includes a first land pattern and a second land pattern. Each of the interconnects has a first end connected to a first end of the coil and a second end connected to a second end of the coil, and is connected to one of the capacitors. The pairs of land patterns are disposed such that each of the interconnects is at least partially interposed between the first land pattern and the second land pattern of one of the pairs of land patterns.

  • Patent number: 9143127
Abstract: An operation switch device includes a circuit board and a push switch disposed on the circuit board and including a movable part exposed to an outside for reacting to an external pressing operation. Also provided on the circuit board is a touch detecting electrode formed in proximity to the push switch. The operation switch device further includes an operation detecting circuit connected with the push switch and the touch detecting electrode, and an operation member disposed to oppose the circuit board with the push switch interposed between the operation member and the circuit board. The operation member is displaceable such that the pressing operation on the operation member causes depression of the movable part of the push switch. The operation detecting circuit detects a touch operation on the operation member using the touch detecting electrode, and detects the pressing operation on the operation member using the push switch.

  • Patent number: 6882340
Abstract: An electronic pen is provided with a casing. A sensor substrate is formed by arranging two comblike conductive patterns on a flexible substrate so that the conductive patterns are interleaved but do not come into contact with each other. The sensor substrate is wound around part of the casing and is thereby fixed. A pressure-sensitive conductive rubber member is arranged to cover the sensor substrate. A protective grip is provided to cover these portions. Accordingly, a sensor which senses finger contact or a pressure applied by a finger is formed. When a finger presses the protective grip, a circuit on a control substrate detects a change in the relationship between the conductive patterns between which continuity is established by the pressure-sensitive conductive rubber member. The detection is transmitted as operation information to a digitizer by exchanging electromagnetic waves with the digitizer.

  • Patent number: 6278440
Abstract: A coordinate input apparatus includes a position-detecting unit and position-pointing devices. The position-pointing devices include a pen-type position-pointing device and a puck-type position-pointing device provided with a magnetic shielding member or short-circuiting coil for hindering the electromagnetic interaction between sensor coils included in the position-detecting unit and the pen-type position-pointing device. By providing in the puck-type position-pointing device a means for suppressing or cutting the voltage or current of a coil or resonant circuit included in the puck-type position-pointing device, the loading of the pen-type position-pointing device into a pen-type device supporting means provided on the puck-type position-pointing device can deactivate the means for suppressing or cutting the voltage or current of the coil or resonant circuit.
