  • Publication number: 20070066105
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a plurality of contacts, a housing arranging and holding the contacts and having a fitting opening into which a memory card is inserted, and pivotally movable locking members provided at both longitudinal ends of the housing, respectively, for holding and removing the memory card. The housing includes a main body for arranging and holding the contacts, and mounting portions provided at both the longitudinal ends for pivotally movably mounting the locking members. The mounting portions are each provided on both sides in width direction with protruding pieces extending against the inserting direction of the memory card. The locking members each include an anchoring portion adapted to engage and embrace the protruding pieces under a condition the memory card has been inserted. The electrical connector can comply with customers' requirements against vibration and does not cause any failed connection with a memory card even upon vibration and impact.

  • Publication number: 20060240713
Abstract: A card connector which is able to be connected to at least two cards, includes contacts corresponding to the number of the cards, a tray in which at least two cards can be mounted, and a housing having a fitting opening for receiving the tray therein and for arranging and holding the contacts. Also, a card connector which is able to be connected to four cards, includes four kinds of contacts, a tray having card mounting sections in which four cards can be mounted, and a housing having a fitting opening for receiving the tray therein and for arranging and holding the four kinds of contacts. With these constructions, miniaturization in height or reduced overall height of connector is possible with a simple construction.

  • Publication number: 20060234559
Abstract: A card connector into and from which at least one card is inserted and removed includes a plurality of contacts each having a contact portion adapted to contact the card, and a housing arranging and holding the contacts and having a fitting opening into which the card is inserted. The housing is provided with a terminal at one end in the width direction of the housing for achieving continuity between the card and a substrate and precluding the card from being erroneously inserted with its rear end or upside down, and the housing is further provided with a notch at a predetermined position for permitting part of the terminal to extend into the fitting opening. The card connector achieves its miniaturization and is able to prevent troubles caused by the electro-static discharge and an erroneous insertion of a card into the card connector.

  • Patent number: 7059906
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a plurality of contacts 16, a housing 12 for holding and fixing the contacts 16 therein and having a fitting portion 24 with which a mating object is fitted, and two shells 20 and 22 covering the housing 12. One shell 20 of the two shells comprises at a predetermined position with respect to its longitudinal direction a required number of substantially L-shaped engagement portion 23 integrally formed on the one shell 20. With this construction, even with an electrical connector of miniaturization of height of less than 2 mm, it is possible to provide a connector 10 whose shells 20 and 22 are prevented from being deformed due to undue forces accidentally acting upon the coaxial cables 14.

  • Patent number: 6976858
Abstract: An electric connector provided with a protector to protect damage of top of contacts by an outer force or misinsertion of mating connector or card and with construction easy for assembling. The connector body is provided with an insertion opening in a direction normal to the mating connector or card insertion direction and the protector is inserted through the insertion opening at the time of assembling and the protector is kept its normal position by the bias spring.

  • Publication number: 20040099862
Abstract: An organic EL device includes pixels disposed with an organic layer including a light-emitting layer 33 between lower electrodes and upper electrodes. A backward bias voltage equal to or less than the withstand voltage of the organic layer in a voltage application condition at the time of use is applied, and preferably a backward bias voltage that is ½ of, or less than ½ of, the withstand voltage of the organic layer is applied. Thus, using the withstand voltage of the organic layer in the voltage application condition at the time of use as a guide, the value of the backward bias voltage for self-repair can be set to an appropriate magnitude and defective portions of the pixels can be self-repaired.
