Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing communication articles such as postcards, envelopes or the like in each of which display surfaces for information or the like are separably bonded with a synthetic resin therebetween by heating for concealing information such as correspondence or a printed display medium and then mailing it. It is an object of the invention to enable easy and smooth separating of a film-containing sheet and accurate insertion of a film in a sheet.

Abstract: An improved apparatus for fitting and stacking bags onto wicket pins which makes it possible to efficiently carry out a sequence of procedures ranging from the production of the bag from a film to stacking of the bags onto the wicket pins and in which sealing and cutting of the film to produce the bag by a seal-knife and a sealing roller, clamping of the bag by intermittent conveyor means and fitting of a pair of holes at the lip of the bag onto the wicket pins by pushers are carried out at the time of stop of intermittent operation. The apparatus has a simplified construction and reduces power consumption.

Abstract: Film running one direction is folded along a longitudinal folding line by a folding plate and folding blade. The folding plate has a front edge and an inclined edge extending in the lateral direction against the film feeding direction, the folding blade extending in an oblique direction against the film feeding direction from the apex point of said edges of the folding plate for folding the outer part of a film against the reverse side of the film. The edges of the folding plate receives the tensile force of the film along the whole width so as to avoid any concentration of tensile force.
