  • Patent number: 9421936
Abstract: A light-weight and inexpensively-manufacturable case member of an airbag device is provided. The case member includes an inner portion integrally formed with an edge portion of an opening portion of a housing portion configured to internally hold a folded airbag and an inflator. A lid is fixed to a housing portion at a position where the lid at least partially covers the airbag housed in the housing portion. The opening portion is covered by an outer portion. Thus, a light-weight case member in which the inflator and the folded airbag are housed in the housing portion and covered by the lid can be manufactured inexpensively, without integration of a separately provided housing portion and lid or fixing the airbag or the inflator using an additional component.

  • Publication number: 20150122790
Abstract: A groove portion is arranged, along a circumferential direction of a circular arc, in a cover portion of a circular rim portion. A heater wire is housed in the groove portion. An outer layer portion is arranged which covers the heater wire and the cover portion of the rim portion. With a simple configuration, a line of the heater wire is less likely to stand out on the outer layer portion to cover the cover portion of the rim portion and the heater wire. It is possible to ensure a good appearance and improve productivity.

  • Patent number: 6474562
Abstract: There is provided a nozzle section having a nozzle for injecting gas and a spherical portion composed of a nozzle nut part and a spherical base end portion, respectively on its front end portion and base end portion. There is provided a nozzle case for supporting the spherical portion so as to make an outward gas injection direction of the nozzle adjustable. The spherical base end portion and the nozzle nut part are provided so that they are separated from one another by the rotation of one of the nozzle and nozzle nut part about the axis of the longitudinal direction. The nozzle section which has been adjusted to have a gas injection direction is fixed from the side of the nozzle, thereby simplifying adjustment of a gas injection direction at the nozzle section by eliminating conventionally required additional operations.

  • Patent number: 6095023
Abstract: Soft part cutting and mounting methods and soft part cutting and mounting apparatuses are capable of cutting and mounting without human intervention by using an automatic soft part apparatus. The apparatus which uses a sheet material continuously formed from a release sheet having at least a release layer on a surface and including continuously formed tack paper and a soft member having an adhesive layer temporarily adhered to the release layer to finally adhere to an article, and cuts the soft member with the adhesive layer into a predetermined shape. The sheet material is continuously intermittently fed by a sheet material convey unit so as to stop at a cutting position.

  • Patent number: 5968437
Abstract: In a mold press forming process for integrally molding a resin core member and a surface skin member, prior to the step of forming the resin core member, a surface skin member is retained between an upper die half and a lower die half by a surface skin retaining frame which consists of a fixed segment and a moveable segment. The moveable segment is moved vertically relatively to the fixed segment to better adapt the surface skin member to a three-dimensional parting line between the upper and lower half dies. When mounting the surface skin member onto the surface skin retaining frame presents a planar mounting surface, the mounting work is facilitated, and automated mounting devices can be used without any problem.

  • Patent number: 5392505
Abstract: A method of fitting an elastic ring on an outer circumferential portion of a workpiece includes the steps of inserting a hollow diameter-enlarging member into the elastic ring to hold the elastic ring on an outer circumferential portion of the diameter-enlarging member, in an enlarged diameter state; holding, at a holding position, the diameter-enlarging member having the elastic ring held thereon; and inserting the workpiece, which has a flange portion, into the diameter-enlarging member such that the flange portion of the workpiece contacts an end surface of the diameter-enlarging member and displaces the diameter-enlarging member from the holding position while keeping the elastic ring at the holding position to transfer the elastic ring to the workpiece by a contraction of the elastic ring from the enlarged diameter state to a reduced diameter state.
