  • Publication number: 20240201712
Abstract: An electric discharge machine capable of suppressing scattering and overflow of a liquid flowing out of a drain port. An electric discharge machine according to one embodiment includes a liquid tank for storing a liquid; a drain valve which opens/closes a drain port for draining the liquid stored in the liquid tank; an actuator which drives the drain valve; a liquid level sensor which detects the level of the liquid stored in the liquid tank; and a control unit which controls the actuator so that as the liquid level detected by the liquid level sensor is lower, the opening amount of the drain valve becomes greater.

  • Patent number: 10921789
Abstract: A machine learning device of a finish-machining amount prediction apparatus observes, as state variables expressing a current state of an environment, finish-machining amount data indicating finish-machining amounts of the respective parts of a component and accuracy data indicating the accuracy of the respective parts of a machine, to which the component is attached. Then, the machine learning device acquires determination data indicating propriety determination results of the accuracy of the respective parts of the machine, to which the component after being subjected to finish machining is attached. After that, the machine learning device learns the finish-machining amounts of the respective parts of the component in association with the accuracy data by using the state variables and the determination data.

  • Patent number: 10775766
Abstract: A compensation quantity acquisition device acquires vibration of the movement target in a second axis direction, orthogonal to the first axis direction when the movement target is moved in the first axis direction, acquires a positional frequency characteristic by performing Fourier transformation on the acquired vibration in the second axis direction, performs inverse Fourier transformation on the positional frequency characteristic from which the component of position independent frequency in the second axis direction (that occurs independently of a position of the movement target in the first axis direction) has been removed, to recover the vibration of the movement target in the second axial direction as position dependent vibration, and acquires positional compensation quantity of the movement target in the second axis direction that cancels the position dependent vibration.

  • Patent number: 10315262
Abstract: A wire electrode storage device for a wire electrical discharge machine is provided with a used wire electrode storage box configured to recover a used wire electrode and a dielectric fluid suction unit into which a fluid is poured to produce a negative pressure based on a Venturi effect so that a dielectric fluid accumulated in the storage box can be drawn in through an outlet of the storage box.

  • Publication number: 20190076946
Abstract: A wire electrical discharge machine includes a contact detector provided at a lower nozzle and configured to detect contact of a wire electrode with the exterior of the lower nozzle, a suction unit configured to suction working fluid into the lower nozzle, and a wire feeding mechanism configured to pass the wire electrode through a machining hole in a workpiece and feed the wire electrode toward the lower nozzle. When auto wire feeding is performed with a work-pan containing working fluid, the wire electrode (is fed toward the lower nozzle by the wire feeding mechanism while the suction unit suctions the working fluid into the lower nozzle. When the contact detector detects contact of the wire electrode with the exterior of the lower nozzle, the wire electrode is rewound by the wire feeding mechanism.
