  • Publication number: 20220390888
Abstract: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of sufficiently correcting deviation of a recording material by an oscillation operation of a registration roller. Configuring an image forming apparatus including: a conveyor that conveys a recording material; a transferer that includes a transfer roller that transfers a toner image onto the recording material; a fixer that includes a fixing roller that fixes the toner image formed on the recording material; a deviation detector that detects a position of the recording material in a conveyance intersecting direction; a deviation corrector that is located on an upstream side of the transferer and moves the recording material in the conveyance intersecting direction to correct deviation of the recording material; and a controller that controls a drive amount of the deviation corrector on the basis of a detection result of the deviation detector and the pressure contact force of a nipper nipping the recording material being conveyed.

  • Publication number: 20190310573
Abstract: A fixing device includes: a fixing belt; a nip formation member; a rotation body; and a heater. The nip formation member is disposed at an inner circumferential side of the fixing belt. The rotation body is configured to form a fixing nip portion with the rotation body facing the nip formation member. The heater is configured to supply heat to the toner image. The nip formation member includes a path adjustment surface having a portion corresponding to a most downstream portion of the fixing nip portion in a transportation direction of the recording medium. In a cross section of the nip formation member orthogonal to a width direction of the fixing belt, a length of the path adjustment surface in a direction along the path adjustment surface is less than or equal to ? of a length of the fixing nip portion in the transportation direction.

  • Patent number: 10073391
Abstract: A fixing device for fixing a toner image onto a recording medium includes: an endless belt that is configured to be able to rotate; a pressure member that is in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the belt; and a sliding member that has a sliding surface in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the belt and is arranged to face the pressure member with the belt interposed between the sliding member and the pressure member, wherein a direction in which the belt rotating slides on the sliding surface is referred to as a direction of conveyance, a plurality of first grooves as well as a plurality of second grooves each allowing two of the plurality of first grooves adjacent to each other to communicate with each other are formed on the sliding surface, and the first grooves and the second grooves are formed in a non-grid pattern.
