  • Publication number: 20080204017
Abstract: An MRI apparatus has a gantry, a bed and a lighting unit collective including a plurality of lighting units. The gantry accommodates a static field magnet configured to generate a static field, a gradient coil configured to generate a gradient magnetic field, and an RF coil configured to transmit or receive an RF pulse as well as having an opening into which a person is inserted. The bed has a removable table-top for an inside and an outside of the opening. The lighting unit group is disposed at at least one of an inside position of the opening and an outside position from which an inside of the opening can be lighted so that the lighting units can carry out lighting such that an amount of emitting light increases bit by bit from a bedside to a counter bedside opposite to the bedside across the opening.

  • Publication number: 20070164743
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a gantry with a gradient coil which applies a gradient magnetic field to a subject in a static magnetic field, a bed which slides a top board in a longitudinal direction of the top board with the subject placed thereon, a high-frequency coil which applies the gradient magnetic field and a high-frequency pulse signal to the subject, and detects a magnetic resonance signal emitted from the subject, and a damping member which damps noise which occurs when the gradient coil is driven, or a support member which supports the gradient coil, the damping member or the support member providing an asymmetrical structure with respect to a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

  • Publication number: 20060106302
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprising: a magnet configured to form a static magnetic field in an imaging area; a cylindrical structure having a guide; a radio frequency coil configured to receive a nuclear magnetic resonance signal generated by transmitting a radio frequency signal into a object set in the static magnetic field; and a radio frequency coil drive structure configured to adjust a distance between the radio frequency coil and a body surface of the object by using a moving structure configured to move along with the guide, a wire configured to move the moving structure and a motor connected to the wire.

  • Patent number: 6954068
Abstract: The gantry of a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a static magnetic field magnet, a gradient coil, a high-frequency coil, and a sealed vessel housing the gradient coil. The sealed vessel is made of a nonconductive material. Even if a gradient magnetic field is switched at high speed, no eddy current flows in the sealed vessel. Therefore, the sealed vessel does not vibrate.

  • Patent number: 6567685
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus generates an MR signal from an object by applying a gradient field pulse generated by a gradient field coil and a high-frequency magnetic field pulse generated by a high-frequency coil to the object in a static field, and reconstructs an image on the basis of the MR signal. The gradient field coil is housed in a sealed vessel. The internal air in the sealed vessel is exhausted by the pump to prevent noise. By controlling the operation of the pump using a control circuit, noise in imaging operation can be reduced more effectively.

  • Publication number: 20010022515
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus generates an MR signal from an object to be examined by applying a gradient field pulse generated by a gradient field coil and a high-frequency magnetic field pulse generated by a high-frequency coil onto the object in a static field generated by a static field magnet, and reconstructs an image on the basis of the MR signal. The gradient field coil is housed in a sealed vessel. A cable extending from an external power supply and connected to the gradient field coil has predetermined flexibility.
