  • Patent number: 9505302
Abstract: A misfueling preventing apparatus discriminates a fuel filler nozzle based on an outer diameter of the fuel filler nozzle. The misfueling preventing apparatus includes a base, a first link arm, a second link arm, a flapper and a stopper. The first link arm has a first trigger projection. The second link arm has a second trigger projection. If the fuel filler nozzle of light diesel oil pushes the first trigger projection and the second trigger projection, the first link arm and second link arm swing to a direction to which the first link arm and second link arm open to, placing the flapper in an openable state.

  • Patent number: 7484636
Abstract: A fuel cap comprising a closure unit adapted to be fitted into an opening of a filler neck having ridges formed on its inner side face intermittently in the circumferential direction, so that it may be secured to the filler neck by engaging with the ridges during a turning operation. The closure unit includes a closure body, a seal ring, a turning control sleeve, a sliding sleeve, a base and a coil spring. The amount of the spacing formed between the lower end of the sliding sleeve and the base is set smaller than an amount of the downward sliding of the sliding sleeve, which is caused when the engagement protrusions formed on the outer side face of the sliding sleeve slip into lower face of the ridges formed on the inner side face of the filler neck.

  • Publication number: 20080035236
Abstract: The invention provides a shutter-operated fuel filler port closing apparatus in which a countermeasure for static electricity is applied. The shutter-operated fuel filler port closing apparatus includes a dust cover which is capable of tilting for closing up a fuel filler port and a hinged haft for the dust cover which have electrical conductivity, and the hinged shaft and a filler neck are electrically connected by an electrically conductive leaf spring, so that static electricity is discharged from the dust cover to the filler neck through the hinged shaft and the electrically conductive leaf spring. Since the dust cover is opened always with a hand or hands for fueling, the static electricity can be discharged inevitably to the filler neck through actions to open the dust cover, so that spark discharge can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 7281639
Abstract: The present invention provides a fuel cap having a high operability while maintaining the air-tightness thereof at a necessary and sufficient level. The closure includes a closure body having a head portion, a trunk portion and an annular trunk surface having stopper projections; a seal ring; a sleeve; a coiled spring; and an engagement member having engagement projections. The fuel cap is formed by assembling the seal ring around the annular surface of the trunk portion of the closure body and the sleeve with the trunk portion in the mentioned order, interposing the coiled spring between the sleeve and engagement member, and connecting the engagement member to the trunk portion of the closure body.

  • Publication number: 20060124903
Abstract: An aerosol preparation comprising an enclosure enclosing an aerosol composition containing a macrolide compound (e.g., tacrolimus) serving as an active ingredient has a problem such that the formulation of the aerosol composition is changed with the passage of time so as to reduce the ratio of the active ingredient in the aerosol composition because the macrolide compound as the active ingredient is partly adsorbed to a “gasket” of a valve part made of resinous material. In an aerosol preparation of the invention comprising an aerosol composition containing a macrolide compound and an enclosure enclosing the aerosol composition, a valve part of the enclosure has a “gasket” made of at least one resinous material selected from butyl rubber, ethylene-propylene rubber, chloroprene rubber, polyethylene, polybutylene terephthalate, polyacetal, polyamide, polytetrafluoroethylene, polypropylene and thermoplastic elastomer, thereby solving the problem.
