    Abstract: This invention pertains to a method of correcting a position of a disk record on a turntable for positioning the record on the turntable in a concentric manner relative to the rotational center of the turntable.In the method of the invention, a stylus which is mounted on a pickup arm traces a groove of a record placed on a turntable. On tracing the groove of the record, an angular displacement of the pickup arm is detected for detecting an eccentricity of the record relative to the rotational center of the turntable. The position of the record on the turntable is corrected in accordance with the detected eccentricity.
