  • Publication number: 20060277015
Abstract: A simulation system for simulating functions of biological organs, comprising a biological model in which the functions of the biological organs are expressed by mathematical models. The biological model comprises a hepatic metabolism model block having specified input and output relating to hepatic function for simulating the hepatic function. The system further comprises arithmetic means for calculating an output value by using measurable status variables of a liver based on input value to the hepatic metabolism model block.

  • Publication number: 20050256690
Abstract: A system for computer simulation of object material concentration in a living body using a biological simulation model configured by a blocks readily corresponding to organs of a living body is provided. The functions of organs in a living body related to the object material are described using the biological simulation model to simulate the change over time in the object material concentration in a living body using a computer. The blocks are mutually linked so as to enable the transference of data among blocks. A computer-readable storage medium is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4099662
Abstract: A method of producing a welded square steel tube from a single steel plate by preparing the opposite side edges of the plate for welding, bending the plate at the portions corresponding to the four corners of the square tube, fitting together the opposed edges of the bent plate, subjecting the edges to tack welding, welding together the opposed edges from inside and outside the tubular bent plate and straightening the resulting tube. These steps are conducted in succession while the steel plate is being conveyed in its longitudinal direction. An apparatus for practicing this method is also disclosed.
