Abstract: A female terminal is provided with a tube portion and a spring piece to be arranged inside the tube portion. The tube portion has an opening end, through which a male terminal is inserted, and a first inner surface and a second inner surface facing each other across the spring piece. The spring piece is cantilevered and supported on the first inner surface. The spring piece has a front side region configured to face the male terminal, a back side region to be arranged on the side of the first inner surface and at least one protrusion provided in the back side region. The protrusion locally projects toward the first inner surface.
