  • Patent number: 10418006
Abstract: A laminated plyboard for a musical instrument which reduces a loss of vibration energy due to internal friction while securing high rigidity with inexpensive cost. A laminated plyboard 20 comprises a first layer portion S1 including layers 24 and 25, a second layer portion S2 including layers 26 and 27, and an impregnated layer 21 impregnated with phenol and sandwiched between the first layer portion S1 and the second layer portion S2. A rigidity coefficient of the impregnated layer 21 is higher than rigidity coefficients of the layers 24 to 27 that configure the first layer portion S1 and the second layer portion S2.

  • Publication number: 20100005946
Abstract: A drum shell is constituted of at least one laminate wood in which at least one fiber-reinforced layer (e.g. a carbon fabric) is inserted between two wooden materials via the adhesive and which is rolled up in a cylindrical shape. By setting the mass per unit area of the fiber-reinforced layer ranging from 5 g/m2 to 75 g/m2, it is possible to prevent the detachment of fibers inside the fiber-reinforced layer while controlling the shearing loss with respect to the laminate wood. The drum shell is equipped with at least one drumhead so as to produce a drum with a high sound quality and with a fine-grained exterior appearance.

  • Patent number: 7074844
Abstract: An adhesive, comprising (A) a polymeric MDI, (B) modified polyvinyl acetate emulsion, (C) aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solution, and (D) a filler. Preferably, a mass ratio of A:B:C:D is 30:(60–160):(50–160):(10–140) provided that the aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solution (C) is in a concentration of 10% by mass.

  • Patent number: 4963214
Abstract: In production of a planar wooden decorative article used for surface covering of furnitures and home interior decorations, a resin prepregnated sheet is prepared by impregnating a material sheet with hardenable resin solution and plurality of resin prepregnated sheets are combined with small wooden pieces to form a laminated composite which is then hardened by heating under pressure. The product has a rich woody impression due to inclusion of the small wooden pieces predominant in the surface region and high toughness coming from the laminated construction.

  • Patent number: 4911969
Abstract: A decorative board has a small timber dispersed, colored, opaque resin layer in which a multiplicity of small timber pieces are dispersed, the small pieces of timber in this layer are exposed on the surface of the layer, and the surface of the layer is flat. In addition, a transparent resin layer or a glass fiber-mixed, transparent resin layer is provided on the small timber piece-dispersed, colored, transparent resin layer, or the small timber piece-dispersed, colored, opaque resin layer is provided on a substrate. Consequently, a beautiful decorative board can be provided in which the side surface of the small timber pieces exposed to the surface of the small timber piece-dispersed, colored opaque resin layer are arranged and disposed parallel with the surface of the decorative board, the figure patterns of the small timber pieces appear on the surface of the decorative board effectively without waste, and the figure patterns are thus emphasized.
