  • Patent number: 5620279
Abstract: An artificial water plant system for trapping bottom sediments in water to protect sand beach against erosion in which the water plant comprises a rod-shaped or tubular molding product having a circular or non-circular cross sectional shape and comprising a thermoplastic elastomer alone having a flexural modulus of 500 to 5,000 kg/cm.sup.2 or a composite body comprising a sheath portion constituted with the thermoplastic elastomer and a core portion constituted with synthetic fiber bundles.

  • Patent number: 5551673
Abstract: A resin shock absorber comprising a compression deformable portion made of a resin having a flexural modulus of elasticity of 500 to 20,000 kg/cm.sup.2, said shock absorber having a yield strength of 2 to 25 kN/m.sup.2 and a compressive energy absorption efficiency of 50% or higher. The shock absorber of the present invention has a high energy absorption efficiency for its reaction force, superior restorability, and is maintenance-free since the absorber has resistance against corrosion, water and weather. Therefore, the absorber is applicable to the use in the sea, on the ground, as well as above the ground. Furthermore, the shock absorber can be easily extended on demand into a block shock absorber, which is light in weight and simple in structure and capable of exhibiting uniform cushion characteristics over an extended area.

  • Patent number: 4945191
Abstract: A curled electrical conductor cord is disclosed that comprises at least one core wire and a sheath layer covering the core wire, the core wire having at least one conductor covered with an insulating layer. The cord has a diameter of 1 mm or more, or has a cross-sectional area of 1 mm.sup.2 or more. The vertical stretch L.sub.0 of the curled portion of the cord by its own weight is 30% or less. The vertical stretch L.sub.50 of the curled portion of the cord under a load of 50 g is 200% or more.

  • Patent number: 4442262
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a composition of a polyester-block copolymer, comprising 5 to 80% by weight of at least one kind of graft-copolymer obtained by graft-copolymerizing 50 to 25 parts by weight of a monomeric mixture predominantly consisting essentially of styrene and methyl methacrylate and containing 0.01 to 3.0% by weight of a cross-linking agent with 50 to 75 parts by weight of a cross-linked elastomeric trunk polymer containing not less than 50% by weight of rubber like segment selected from the group consisting of butadiene unit and C.sub.4 to C.sub.10 -alkyl acrylate units, and 0.01 to 3.0% by weight of a cross-linking agent, and 95 to 20% by weight of a polyester-block copolymer, the composition giving shaped articles of favorable superficial appearance even when processed by shape-forming under conditions of mixing and kneading of a relatively low degree.
