  • Patent number: 6578057
Abstract: On the basis of a high degree of theory, prime numbers are derived through effective processing and steps so as to achieve a remarkable reduction in the processing time taken for the derivation. With respect to an arbitrary prime number rank entered, (1) numerical values are added in sequence to a prime number of the anterior rank to calculate prime number candidates of the next rank; (2) the thus calculated prime number candidate is divided by known prime numbers to verify whether it is a prime number or not; and (3) processing for reducing the verification time is iterated when the thus calculated prime number candidate is larger than a certain value, to thereby derive prime numbers until the entered rank is reached.

  • Patent number: 5460781
Abstract: A hemoglobin sampler for use with stool samples for clinical tests and diagnoses of the digestive tract diseases in mass screening, etc. by securely sampling and collecting occult hemoglobin with water content from the stool samples without being hindered by the undigested solid content of stools. The sampler has a core member consisting of a porous fiber bundle made up of a plural number of synthetic fibers bundled in the longitudinal direction thereof, a rod of a suitable length provided with a thermosetting synthetic resin sheath at the outer periphery of the core, one end of the rod forming a sample absorbing member with a suitable surface area and small diameter made up of the above mentioned porous fiber bundle. The sampler can quantitatively sample occult hemoglobin with water from stool samples of various properties, thereby offering an easy sample method for the subject and stable specimen for tests.

  • Patent number: 5072144
Abstract: A moving-coil linear motor is formed with a stator means forming a guide and having a permanent magnet array having opposite poles alternately at constant intervals in longitudinal direction of the stator means, and a mover means mounted on the stator means for being movable through an electromagnetic force along the stator means, the mover means having three-phase moving coils wound in bipolar system on cores U-shaped in section. Positive and negative voltages are alternately applied through brushes to the moving coils of the mover means, while its U-shaped cores are opposed to the permanent magnet array, disposing the array between both leg portions of the U-shaped cores, with the magnetic efficiency of the motor thereby remarkably improved while sufficiently effectively minimizing the size.

  • Patent number: 4076428
Abstract: Pen point for writing instruments which is a rod-shaped wick composed of synthetic resin filaments and in which narrow slots defined by said filaments extend longitudinally in said wick and form ink passageways, comprising in the cross-section(a) a circular portion to form the outer periphery portion of the pen point,(b) a plurality of stem portions projecting inwardly from the inner periphery portion of said circular portion and being arranged at a moderate distance with one another,(c) branches projecting laterally from at least two stem portions, said stem portions and branch portions being constituted with a plurality of connected monofilaments, each having same or different diameter,(d) standing tree-formed projections consisting of said stem portions and said branch portions, which are arranged in a fold axis symmetry against the center of the pen point, and(e) the above described projections being mutually crossed or the above described projections and the above described stem portions are crossed to f
