  • Publication number: 20230092853
Abstract: When a printer driver is installed, identification information of a printing apparatus set as an output destination of print data of the printer driver is registered in a print permission list in an administrator access area. The installed printer driver outputs the print data for the printing apparatus when the identification information of the printing apparatus to which the print data of the printer driver is output is registered in the print permission list. The installed printer driver does not output the print data for the printing apparatus when the identification information of the printing apparatus is not registered in the print permission list.

  • Patent number: 9310704
Abstract: In a printing apparatus having full-color and monochrome print processes and a method therefor, whether a page to be printed is color or monochrome is checked. The presence of an immediately preceding page which is successively printed before a page to be printed that is determined to be monochrome, and the attribute of the immediately preceding page are determined. The presence of a succeeding page which is successively printed after the page to be printed, and the attribute of the succeeding page are determined. The number of pages corresponding to the determination results is set. The print process of the page to be printed is decided on the basis of the presence of succeeding pages corresponding to the number of pages and their attributes.

  • Patent number: 8164771
Abstract: An image processing system includes a host computer which generates print data and a printer which prints an image based on the print data. The host computer sets attribute information which indicates a part of the print data which is allowed to be visualized and a part of the print data which is prohibited to be visualized. In addition, the host computer also sets authentication information required for reading the part prohibited to be visualized, and transmits the print data, the attribute information, and the authentication information to the printer. The printer prints a visual image of the part allowed to be visualized on a paper medium provided with an RFID chip and stores the part prohibited to be visualized in the RFID chip. In addition, the printer prints the information stored in the RFID chip on another paper medium as a visual image after authentication with the authentication information.

  • Publication number: 20080010612
Abstract: Based on plural kinds of image data produced by changing a layout of input first image data, at least first feature information and second feature information are extracted and stored in a correspondent relation. Third feature information extracted from third image data is compared with the stored first feature information and second feature information. When a result of the comparison shows that the third feature information is matched with one of the first feature information and the second feature information, it is determined that the third image data is identical to the first image data.

  • Publication number: 20070286530
Abstract: A data management apparatus stores first feature information extracted from first image data and output condition information corresponding to the first image data. The data management apparatus determines whether second feature information extracted from second image data matches the stored first feature information. In addition, the data management apparatus determines whether an output condition under which the first output unit outputs the second image data matches the output condition represented by the stored output condition information. The data management apparatus outputs information indicating that the second image data matches the first image data when it is determined that the second feature information matches the first feature information and it is determined that the output condition under which the second image data is output matches the output condition represented by the stored output condition information.

  • Publication number: 20070229909
Abstract: An apparatus stores first document information including a plurality of feature information, which are extracted from an image of a first document and respectively extracted based on a plurality of different orientations, and second document information including feature information extracted from an image of a second document from at least one orientation. The apparatus determines that the first document and the second document are the same if any one of the feature information included in the first document information matches the feature information included in the second document information, and determines that the first document and the second document are not the same if none of the plurality of feature information included in the first document information matches the feature information included in the second document information.

  • Patent number: 6099181
Abstract: Disclosed is a printing control apparatus for controlling a printing process performed on recording media according to printing information input from a data processing apparatus via a particular communication medium, the recording media being fed one by one to a printing mechanism and ejected out of the main part of a printer. The apparatus has a variably setting unit for variably setting the resolution of the printing mechanism; a calculator for calculating the time required for the printing process on a recording medium until ejecting the recording medium out of the main part of the printer, depending on the resolution variably set by the variably setting unit; a time measurement mechanism for measuring an elapsed time; and a judgment unit for judging whether a recording medium has been ejected on the basis of the elapsed time measured by the time measurement mechanism and also on the basis of the time calculated by the calculator.
