  • Patent number: 7496330
Abstract: In a phase adjusting method and device in which a phase deviation between main signal frames themselves returned from a station end device through an antenna end device to the station end device without using a control signal for the phase adjustment, a reference signal generated in a first device is commonly mapped to respective down main signal frames of a first and a second system to be outputted to a second device, the second device maps, pointer values indicating timings of the reference signal in the respective down main signal frames to respective up main signal frames of the first and the second system to be outputted to the first device, and the first device extracts respective pointer values from the respective main signal frames and adjust frames of the respective up main signal frames based on the respective pointer values.

  • Patent number: 7394883
Abstract: A multiple-antenna system including a base station apparatus and a plurality of antenna apparatuses connected to the base station via optical cables is provided. The system comprises a first antenna apparatus and a second antenna apparatus connected to each other via an electric cable. Each of the first and second antenna apparatuses receives a reference pulse from the base station apparatus via the optical cables, and estimates a time difference between the received pulse and the reference pulse supplied from the counterpart antenna apparatus via the electric cable. At least one of the first and second antenna apparatuses adjusts signal transmission timing based on the time differences estimated by the first and second antenna apparatuses.

  • Patent number: 7184920
Abstract: Performing delay measurement between master and slave devices. The master transmits a delay measuring signal at a fixed timing relative to a synchronous pattern signal in an overhead and transmits a frame signal in which an internal delay time, associated with a frame signal generation, from a delay measurement start timing to a transmission timing of the delay measuring signal is stored in the delay measuring signal as a master offset value. The slave adds an internal delay time associated with a frame signal generation to the master offset value of the frame signal, making a slave offset value and transmits an updated delay measuring signal with the slave offset value. The master calculates a delay time by subtracting the slave offset value from a time difference between a timing at which the delay measuring signal transmitted from the slave is received and the delay measurement start timing.
