  • Publication number: 20120140295
Abstract: A processing apparatus includes a photosensor, a processing unit and a control unit. The control unit detects a light receiving signal output from the photosensor during a first light emission period and obtains a first detection result, and makes first determination based on the first detection result by determining whether the processing unit can execute a function. The control unit detects the light receiving signal after a waiting period and obtains a second detection result. The control unit makes second determination based on the second detection result by determining whether the processing unit can execute the function. The control unit makes the second determination in a second mode that requires small consumption power, and according to determination in the second determination in the second mode that the processing unit can execute the function, the control unit keeps the second mode and makes the first determination.

  • Publication number: 20110193687
Abstract: A radio-frequency tag communication device configured to appropriately minimize a failure in reading out of a targeted radio-frequency tag is provided. The radio-frequency tag communication device comprises a polarization-plane switching control portion 78 operative to switch polarization planes of an antenna within one-third of a time interval TStay preliminarily set in which the targeted radio-frequency tag 14 stays in a communication field, and a communication control portion 76 controlling a parameter used in communication so as to complete the communication in association with a command group to execute a series of communications with plural radio-frequency tags 14 selected in response to a “Select” command once within a time interval in which the polarization-plane switching control portion 78 switches the polarization planes of the antenna.

  • Publication number: 20100171595
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag communicating apparatus that executes communication of information with an RFID tag by transmitting a transmission signal toward the RFID tag and receiving a return signal returned from the RFID tag in response to the transmission signal, includes a communication control portion that selectively establishes a first communication mode of executing communication of information with all RFID tags included in a list that defines a plurality of the RFID tags that are predetermined handling the RFID tags to be communicated or a second communication mode of executing communication of information with at least one of the RFID tags corresponding to a designated piece of identification information handling the RFID tag to be communicated; and a switching determining portion that determines switching between the first communication mode and the second communication mode based on a predetermined parameter and a switching condition determined in advance.

  • Publication number: 20090175396
Abstract: Since signal transmittance adjustment devices that can suppress transmittance of a receiving signal to a DSP as a receiving processing device from an antenna for reception and a signal transmittance control device configured to control the signal transmittance adjustment devices so that the transmittance of the receiving signal to the DSP from the antenna for reception is suppressed at least when a transmission signal including a modulation signal is transmitted from an antenna for transmission are provided, occurrence of a trouble in which a head portion of a reply signal is crushed by a wrap around signal from a transmission side can be suitably prevented, and particularly, favorable communication can be realized at start of a response from a RFID tag. That is, an apparatus for communicating with a RFID tag that can suitably suppress an influence of a transient response can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20090130981
Abstract: There is provided a radio-frequency communication device that can sufficiently eliminate a leakage signal from a transmission side included in a received signal. The communication device includes a cancel amplitude controlling unit 62 selectively suppressing supply of a cancel signal to a cancel signal synthesizing unit 52, a received-signal terminating unit 50 selectively terminating a received-signal input terminal 64i, a signal strength detecting unit 78 detecting a signal strength, a memory unit 82 storing a signal strength detected by the signal strength detecting unit 78, a signal strength comparing unit 80 comparing a plurality kinds of signal strengths read out from the memory unit 82, and a cancel signal controlling unit 72 controlling an amplitude and/or a phase of the cancel signal based on a result of the comparison by the signal strength comparing unit 80.
