  • Publication number: 20090169935
Abstract: There is provided a fuel cell system capable of warming up a fuel cell while inhibiting generation of a rush current. A control device switches the connection/disconnection between a fuel cell and a short circuit by a shorting relay. The control device spends, before switching the shorting relay from disconnection to connection during starting at a low temperature, an oxidizing gas remaining in the cathode of the fuel cell by driving auxiliary devices to generate an oxidizing gas-deficient state. Then, the control device switches FC relays from ON to OFF and the shorting relay from OFF to ON to thereby complete the preparation for supplying a short-circuit current.

  • Publication number: 20080156554
Abstract: It is possible to suppress affect an electromagnetic noise to a circuit board from outside or to the outside from the circuit board and realize stable operation of a fuel cell stack. A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell stack (4) formed by a plurality of cells overlain and a cell monitor substrate (11) for monitoring the cell voltage of the fuel cell stack (4) which are contained in a fuel cell case (14). The fuel cell stack (4) is connected to a power converter such as an inverter. The cell monitor substrate (11) is covered by a cell monitor cover (20) having a high electromagnetic wave shielding ability. The cell monitor cover (20) is formed by a conductor such as copper, iron, and aluminum.

  • Publication number: 20070298298
Abstract: Disclosed is a fuel cell system capable of restraining a temperature change in a fuel cell caused by a refrigerant. The fuel cell system has a refrigerant circulating system for circulating the refrigerant from the fuel cell to the fuel cell. The refrigerant circulating system has flow control means for restraining the inflow of the refrigerant, which has a predetermined difference in temperature from that of the fuel cell, into the fuel cell.

  • Publication number: 20040115508
Abstract: A fuel cell of the invention includes a stacked cell unit having a plurality of stacked cells provided with separators; a stacked cell unit side surface of the stacked cell unit is surface smoothed. Further, a manufacturing method for the fuel cell includes a first step of stacking and fixing a plurality separators to form a fuel cell unit; and a second step of executing surface smoothing of a stacked cell unit side surface formed from a side surface of each of the separators of the fuel cell unit. In addition, a manufacturing device for the fuel cell fixes a plurality of cells having separators to form a fuel cell unit; and executes surface smoothing of a stacked cell unit side surface formed from a side surface of each of the separators of the fuel cell unit.

  • Publication number: 20040115486
Abstract: In a fuel cell according to an aspect of the invention, a fuel cell stack is formed by stacking several cells in which pressure loss is small as compared with normal cells, in the vicinity of an end portion of the stack, which is far from a fuel gas supply port and an oxidizing gas supply port.
