    Abstract: An exercise therapy device enables a physically handicapped or aged person to smoothly and continuously perform a pedaling exercise according to the level of his physical strength without overextending himself or herself when he or she undergoes an exercise therapy, to thereby recover his or her exercise function and maintain his or her physical strength. The device is simple in construction, compact in size, light in weight, and can be manufactured at low cost by using only a single actuator which acts as both a load device and an assisting force generating device. The device comprises a drive portion adapted to be manually moved by an exerciser, an actuator connected to the drive portion through a power transmission mechanism, and a control unit for causing the actuator to operate as a load device for providing a load to the drive portion and as an assisting device for providing an assisting force to the drive portion when the drive portion is manually moved by the exerciser.

    Abstract: A voltage non-linear resistor unit is composed of at least one of voltage non-linear resistors which is composed of a columnar sintered body formed by molding and sintering a raw material, the sintered body having both end surfaces having a surface roughness in term of arithmetic average surface roughness Ra of 1 to 2 &mgr;m and being formed with an electrode film layer, a terminal metal fitting formed in a predetermined shape and attached to the voltage non-linear resistor, and a soldering material arranged between the voltage non-linear resistors and between joint surfaces of the voltage non-linear resistor and the terminal metal fitting, the joint surfaces being joined by heating the soldering material and applying a load vertically to the joint surfaces while giving a rotation motion thereto. Such voltage non-linear resistor is effectively assembled into an arrester.

    Abstract: A discharge counter relating to an operation of a lightening arrester to protect a power system and electric apparatus from overvoltage. This discharge counter includes a lightening arrester terminal, a grounding terminal, a nonlinear resistor connected between the lightening arrester terminal and the grounding terminal, a capacitor connected to the nonlinear resistance in parallel between the lightening arrester terminal and the grounding terminal, and a counter for counting the number of times a discharge current flows from the capacitor. Further, the counter is connected in parallel to the nonlinear resistance and capacitor. The nonlinear resistor includes a nonlinear material. That is, the nonlinear material is equal to a nonlinear resistance which includes zinc oxide as a main component and bismuth oxide and titanium oxide as a sub component, which have an excellent characteristic for the discharge counter.

    Abstract: A sintered body which can be formed into a resistor having a non-linear resistance includes zinc oxide is the principal composition and bismuth, cobalt, antimony, manganese and nickel respectively converted to expressed Bi2O3, Co2O3, Sb2O3, MnO and NiO as auxiliary compositions. The compositions contains 0.05 to 10 mol % of Bi2O3, 0.05 to 10 mol % of Co2O3, 0.05 to 10 mol % of Sb2O3, 0.05 to 10 mol % of MnO and 0.05 to 10 mol % of NiO; the content ratio of the Bi2O3 to the NiO is in a mole ratio of 0.5 or more but 1.5 or less, and the content ratio of the MnO to the Sb2O3 is in a mole ratio of 1.0 or less. Preferably, the composition contains at least one of 0.5 to 500 ppm of aluminum, converted to Al3+, and 10 to 1000 ppm of at least one or the other of boron and silver, converted respectively to B3+, and Ag+. The composition may also contain 0.01 to 1000 ppm of at least one of sodium, potassium, chlorine and calcium, converted respectively to Na+, K+, Cl− and Ca2+.

    Abstract: A nonlinear resistor is formed by forming side surface insulating layer 2 on a sintered body 1 which contains zinc oxide as a main component and providing a pair of electrodes 3 on upper and lower surfaces of the sintered body 1. The electrodes 3 are formed by plasma thermal spraying of less than 10 kW in an atmosphere in which an oxygen concentration is set to 22 volume % or less. The electrodes 3 are formed of aluminum, copper, zinc, nickel, silver, or their alloy whose average particle size is within 5 .mu.m to 50 .mu.m. Preferably porosity is less than 15%, weight percentage of metal oxide is less than 25%, average film thickness is within 5 .mu.m to 500 .mu.m, average surface roughness is less than 8 .mu.m, and resistivity is less than 15 .mu..OMEGA..multidot.cm. Accordingly, the nonlinear resistor having the excellent discharge withstand can be provided.

    Abstract: A magnetic circuit structure in a disk unit which can be manufactured at low costs. The magnetic circuit includes a main yoke manufactured by stacking a plurality of rolled steel plates and connecting them together by caulking. The magnetic circuit further includes an inner magnet, an outer magnet, and a side yoke all of which are mounted on the main yoke. Both ends of the inner magnet abut against a pair of shoulders formed on the main yoke, and both ends of the outer magnet abut against a pair of shoulders formed on the main yoke. Vertical movement of the inner magnet is prevented by a pair of presser plates and fixed to the main yoke, and vertical movement of the outer magnet is also prevented by a pair of presser plates and fixed to the main yoke.

    Abstract: A magnetic circuit for a voice coil motor includes a yoke for guiding a magnetic flux, a permanent magnet magnetically detachably mounted upon the yoke for creating the magnetic flux, and a coil provided in correspondence to a magnetic gap formed by the yoke. The coil interlinks with the magnetic flux and is movable along the yoke. The yoke carries a projection, on a surface thereof on which the permanent magnet is mounted. The projection inhibits movement of the permanent magnet along the surface of the yoke. The permanent magnet is detachably mounted upon the surface of the yoke exclusively by a magnetic force associated with the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet.

Further, the outwardly opened grooved includes a bottom surface which is positioned between a first plane and a second plane that extend outer and inner surfaces of the main plate portion in the radial direction, respectively. The rolling bearing achieves a structure having high sealing performance to prevent the deformation of sealing plate.

Thus, a synchronized superposed operation of servomotors in which speeds and responses of the main shaft and the subsidiary shaft are well balanced therebetween can be achieved.
