  • Patent number: 5592207
Abstract: A laser printer can record high definition and high quality images without requiring any increase of electrical and mechanical design precision for increasing a scanning line density thereof. The laser beam is deflected in a primary scanning direction and a subsidiary scanning direction. With such scanning, an artificial scanning line along an edge of a recording image can be established for accurately recording an oblique line, a curved line, a barbel portion of a character, a half-tone image or so forth.

  • Patent number: 5413419
Abstract: A printer which comprises a buffer memory for temporarily storing therein new print data, a full dot memory for holding therein a dot-developed print data in a dot pattern on a page basis, a buffer memory management table for managing the state of the print data of the buffer memory on the page basis, and a control means. The control means, when it is desired to store the new print data in the buffer memory, judges whether or not a page of the new print data is the same as a page of print data whose printing is not completed or being discharged. When the control means determines that the page of the new print data is the same as that of the print data being discharged, the control means stores the new print data in the buffer memory immediately after the dot development of the print data of the buffer memory on the full dot memory is completed.

  • Patent number: 5268769
Abstract: An image signal decoding system for decoding a variable length image data compressed by a modified Huffman code. The decoding object data is cut by a fixed length of 13 bits and the cut data is decoded by using a decode-encode circuit for decoding the input of the modified Huffman code with its end portion equalized and for encoding and generating the code length, the code kind and the run-length number on the basis of the decoded contents, and by using a rotator for shifting the bit data. For decoding a code which immediately follows, the data is shifted with the rotator by the bit number of the code length of the decoding output result, the end portion of the next decoding output result, the end portion of the next decoding object data is equalized with the input end portion of the encode-decode circuit, and it is placed after the immediately following decoding object data and is then input into the decode-encode circuit and decoded.
